what is mightier the pen or the sword?

The sword does seem mightier than the pen
with its powerful weight and hardened steel
its shine and design
how its sleek and able to make a man weak
something so dangerous that it is kept hidden in a sheath
protecting others from what it could unleash
every point along its edge contains power
over life and death

But the pen hides in its own sheath

The swords greatest strength comes from the words immortalizing its deeds

the countless stories and poems that inspire a fascination with what would have been a long forgotten tool

if not for the pen.
