Paper Hearts and a Plastic Soul

Amazing, what your mind can do to you
When you realize that there's others in need
When you rationalize that you're better off
When you finalize that you're a start.
When another outside world
Strikes an inside chord

Deceiving, who the world appoints to you
When only time will tell
How all my lies repel
Who then, my soul retracts
To bring closer back

My Soul is filled with clashing wars
And hearts are built by simple words
When my stand, seems to break
I waste it on, my heart's intake
I won't stand to see you live a lie
Where paper hearts can make you cry
I'll tear them all from off your wall
One by one we will make them fall
'Till only YOUR heart resumes to reside
A genuine heart in a detailed cup
I can't have you live life caved up

And when one day soon
Paper hearts free
You can help me out of captivities
My plastic soul in a cardboard box
Lost in a pit under piles of rocks

One day soon when that box is freed,
We will find out what love truly means.
