We love putting people up high

Looking to the entertainment of a lie

A lie with some truth

Exaggerated examples of ourselves 

Our flaws

Our triumphs

Our virtues

Our vices

They put a magnifying glass to certain qualities 

The ones we admire

The ones we desire

The ones we lack

The ones we despise 

They flash warnings to our world across the screen 

What did happen

What could happen

What will happen

What is happening 

Sadly many seem to not listen to the beeping machines 

To the screams of the people

To the silent tears of the victim

To the labored breaths of the strained hero

To the brewing anger of the villains

Not listening until the beeping goes silent 

The room exploding with the power of electricity trying to save lives

Strange isn't it?

But maybe not really

We should really open our minds

To something strange

And maybe, just maybe

Something will begin to make sense

Inspiration: I wrote this one right quick after watching Dr. Strange (the movie- which I really cool in general 3D btw) and after thinking about Riri Williams (while also kind hoping that I'll get to play her if they make a movie).
