Halls
The halls are filled with tears
Flowing freely
Soft voices fill our ears
Speaking carefully
Discussions every class
Not just about Ally
Suicide: the word at the forefront of all minds
Questions are asked
The struggle for answers are made
The air is tense
But good points are made
We need to change the culture of our school
We need to truly care about each other
We need to manage our stress
We need to use the resources to help us
We need to love
We need to listen
We need to pay attention
We need to be sensitive to each other
We need to stop pretending that everything's okay
We need to learn
Because nothing will ever be the same in these halls
Inspiration: Sorry if this isn't my best, but its what I can do right now.
Ally, a girl at my school, committed suicide a few weeks ago, and I was finally able to write a little bit about what I felt (how I feel).
Although I did not know her personally very well, we did have a connection, and her death still affects me and the ones around me.
And for me, personally, it brings back many memories of dear friends of mine, Noel (I talked about him a little in Revelations) who also committed suicide in middle school.
Please, if any of you need someone to talk to, I'm always here.
And if not me, please find someone you trust (and sometimes writing it out can help too).
If any of you need this.... please contact (California, USA only (I'm pretty sure).... I'm very sorry if u live in other countries that I don't have the info for)
