ICARUS
Icarus flew as he fell and
The soaring winds toar
At the wax that melted from
His wings.
Icarus laughed as he flew
And the sun stretched its
Arms but couldn't stop him from
His fall.
Icarus loved as he died
And he could not bring himself
To regret his love
To fly.
Icarus dreamed as he drowned
Of his bright lover whom he had not
Reached but whom he would meet
By the oncoming dawn.
