13. Finally, Peace
The raindrops pitter patter on the ground
Carrying with them a melancholy sound
Slowly arises the moist soil's scent
Bringing with it memories faint
Six feet above my resting place
The flowers delivered must've become a mess
The candles on there have long burned out
Leaving frozen wax on my name, no doubt
Now all around me the fragrance of soil in seeps
As I, for the days I have lost weep
These narrow walls have made my muscles sore
But my body doesn't even move anymore
But for once this rain and the cold winds it brings
A happy bell in me it rings
All around me the earth is wet
But the handful of mud on my being is still dry set
A realisation this rain has brought
One that I long ago should have got
This coffin screams that my life has left me
And my soul too I shall soon en route see.
