Fairytales don't tell how Red Riding Hood Killed the wolf,
Or how Snow White went back to kill the Evil Queen.
And how Cinderella's last words to her family was "no deserves death more than thee".
How Aurora got up on her own because of goodness in her heart
And how Ariel had no problem leaving her prince in the dirt.

Fairytales don't show how these women evolved,
When needed help it wasn't a prince they would call.
Evolving from princesses and damsels in distress
to warriors whose hearts were colder than the rest.
Who made mistakes, but fixed them too.
And depended on the courage that was true

People love these kind of women,
but as ideas, or a fantasy.
Not actual people, threatening to become better than you could ever be.


But remember, the women and girls on this earth; in every village and town. 
Are descendants of Queens you couldn't burn down.
