Chintzy Christmas
The Christmas flakes of snow
Fled to feel the warmth of Earth
Then in the liquid phase did they blow.
.
.
.
The December hopes of the fatty Clause
Clambered from the warmth of Earth
And then in the infinities of air currents...
.
.
.
Folly folderols;
Funerals' age, hard gone past.
Stupid sense in the sphere of science.
.
.
.
'Why do I think so negative?'
Complains something in me.
Not science, but the ludicrous logic of God gave me life.
.
.
.
I see around,
Through the closed windows
Of sun-shade clad glass.
.
.
.
My neighbors are happy,
They have friends and foe to pay a smile
Where I have none to pray me good.
.
.
.
Their houses in adorning;
Mine like mourning.
Not a leaf of x'mas tree in here.
.
.
.
'Oh, how beautiful their Christmas is!
How ridiculous mine!'
-My lonely laments.
.
.
.
Why?
I don't know.
But I know for sure:
A Christmas Carol
Could help me great.
Oh, dear Dickens...
