War & Humanity

I've seen wars.

wars of hate,

wars of happiness,

wars of sanity.

I've been apart of some too,

but in the end, nobody won; we all lost.

I lost.

You don't win in war,

you either lose or you don't.

In a war of humanity,

no matter what side you look at,

there isn't a trace of humanity.

In a war of anger,

all you can see is anger.

In a war, you are only fighting yourself,

and you can't win.

And I'm afraid of losing.

It all makes sense though,

why we have wars.

No matter how deep you dig into what wars really are,

we see the inhumanity of it,

but we still understand it and we do it and why we do it makes sense.

Shouldn't the reason be outweighed by the inhumanity?

It should,

but then again,

we are inhuman.

But these are just physical wars.

I think the internal wars are worse.

You think that the physical wars are worse,

considering the general outcome and loss.

imagine if it was you.

Think about mental torture;

Losing everything you've ever loved.

Now think about the families who lost those in which they loved to war.

For some, this is losing everything that ever made them happy.

A physical war led to a mental war.

They're both bad,

Which is worse?

War: a contagious disease.

Symptoms include but are not limited to: inhumanity, grief and all of its stages, sorrow, self-harm, death.

That's why we say that you're only human,

because you aren't a god.

We cause all these problems.

People become insane.

People become full of despair.

People only know pain.

We cause this.

But we give the excuse that we're only human.

Why?

Because we are human?

Because we are human.

It sounds so stupid.

We say we're only human,

but our excuse for our excuse is because we're only human.

But we're not.

We are human.

But are we?

I can't answer and neither can you.

Are humans even human?

Maybe I don't know.

Is the real meaning of human,

Being inhuman?

I think so.

It makes sense that humans are technically animals.

Because the human definition of animal,

is an inhuman monster.

That's all we are.

And war proves that about us.

About you.

About me.

Humanity: a non-contagious disease.

Gambling is very human.

Gambling can be war,

if you look at it from the right angle.

Risk.

Win.

Loss.

Insanity.

Sounds like war if you ask me.

People can be reduced to nothing by gambling.

For some,

it is the foundation of their entire existence,

without it,

they would be nobody.

I have no idea where I fall,

but do I care?

No.

I think I'm human.

We don't mind the inhumanity of it,

if it brings us this much happiness.

To stake something so precious,

so necessary,

like our lives,

or our money,

is inhumanity.

But until I said that,

It probably sounded quite normal.

Quite human.

It isn't human in the slightest.

But it's also as human as it gets.

I'm ok with that.

That's why I'm human.

Not because I have weaknesses,

or because I show emotion,

or even making mistakes.

It's because I'm fine with abandoning all of my humanity to do something so inhuman.

And so are you.

Maybe you're upset with me now.

That's fine.

This is just my take on humanity.

Maybe I'm insane.

Or just you.

Or maybe everyone except you is insane.

But it might be just me.

And I'm ok with that.

And that's why I'm human.
