Prayer, something I've been doing every day, but even more now because of the sad and scary things going on in the world. I pray for the safety of the protestors, as well as those down there trying to keep everyone safe from the rioters and looters. I pray for George Floyd's family, that they will find peace after everything has calmed down, even though a great injustice has been done.

I pray that the world will stop hurting and that we can go back to our semi-normal lives. That we will someday see everyone as equals and not be separated by face, religion, or color. That we will rise together and be in community with each other.

Trust. We need to trust that God has everything in control. We can only do so much. To get further ahead in life and to remain safe, we need to rely on God's word and power. This reminds of Lauren Daigle's song "Trust in you" She speaks so much truth in these few lines:

There's not a day ahead You have not seen

So let all things be my life and breath

I want what You want Lord and nothing less

When You don't move the mountains

I'm needing You to move

When You don't part the waters

I wish I could walk through

When You don't give the answers

As I cry out to You

I will trust, I will trust, I will trust in You

I will trust in You

Even during these hard and scary times, we need to trust God. He is our anchor.

Community. During this time, there's nothing better than being in community with each other. Whether it's coming together for a good cause, or simply just getting together to uplift one another. The stronger we are together, the less something can tear us down.

Hope. I am hoping that the riots and looting stop soon. It's scary and it's not really helping the situation. I understand that people are mad, but it is not helping the situation at all. I hope that the world can go back to normal someday and that the injustices will stop.

I am also hoping that during this time, people will come to know Christ and that they will be filled with peace and love.

Stays safe, hopefully, it will be over soon.
