The girl sat and closed her eyes,
As she thought about the days gone by,
Hoping for what tomorrow brings,
Though this life, it really stings.
Saddened by this thought she was,
That she may lose the ones she loves.
Though she hopes her future bright,
She cried all through the night,
Wishing that she might
Find someone hold her tight.
And though this world, it really bites,
She tried to hold on till tomorrow light.
As she lay with her covers tucked in, She realized her patience was wearing thin.
She felt like she was falling.
Had missed her calling?
It had all gone by too fast.
And the one she had loved steadfast,
Gone for what seemed like a million years,
Memories flooded by river of tears,
In much pain was she,
She thought, "Maybe I should flee,"
"From this life that hurts all of us,"
"And fade back in the dust,"
"Where I will not be hit with tragedy,"
"Maybe that's my destiny,"
"To be a nobody,"
No more thoughts that occur, that is, until  the singing bird.
