Dear sun
Light the way
With your bright rays
To help me through these dark days;
Free my soul
These bounds have a hold
I want to be a wild one again
Proud and free
A child of nature
I wish to be.
I wish to feel the soft ground beneath my bare feet, the cool wind surrounding me,
I wish to hear the howling of wolves around me, and see the sly foxes sneak by me.
These bounds hold on
Tight as can be
But slowly these bounds loosen their grip on me.
Free, my soul and I will soon be
Able to roam freely through the trees of the woods ive so longed to see.
Freedom is so close to me.
So sun if you'll please
Use your harsh rays to help me.
