As the moon settled down, and the sun rested in it's spot
The children are waking from their slumber
Their eyes yearn for something new
Blinded by light
Full of joy
But there is one child
Hidden in darkness
Her soul hidden from the world
Carrying on, with hatred in her heart
Never letting the light into her soul
No one would notice the girl of darkness
One day, the light stopped her in her tracks
And did something no one ever thought would happen
The light wrapped it's arm around the girl
And whispered loving words into her ear
"You are loved and cared for girl of darkness"
"Come out of the shadows, let joy run free."
In the moment the shadows and sorrow erased from her mind
A light replaced it
A purpose.
She wasn't alone. The light did not abandon her.
It had saved her from slipping farther into the darkness.
It saved her.
It loved her.
A smile formed on the girl's lips
She was no longer the girl of darkness and sorrow
She was the girl of light and joy.
