The Cap
Lyric A Kent
The cap sat there whistling in the wind
It sighed when no one claimed it
It drooped and swayed
It felt sick day after items were claimed but no one claimed the hat
So the hat sat and sat
Waiting and waiting whistling to himself sadly
Then Friday came the day the hat had been waiting for
He was taken to the thrift shop
He hopped into the bag and was taken
When he arrived he flew into a bin
He fell to the bottom and other items flew on top of him
Days ran by the items were taken until he was revealed
By then the shop had closed
When it opened the hat was chosen
He was happy for always.
