Shooting Star
Shooting star
There she lay,
On a green electric blanket
That no longer worked,
Outside
On a rock
And some gravel
Next to her step dad.
Layers
Of jackets,
Hats,
Boots,
And sweat pants
Covered every part of her
Except
Her face
Which was being
bitten at lightly
by the cold
1 am air
Her,
As her mom called,
Basic blue,
But
She thinks
Are more
Of a grey
Blue,
With a hint of green
Surrounding her pupil ;
That stood out
Like two
Sparkling lakes
Upon her
ghastly
pale skin
that was tinted red at the cheeks
were gazing up.
She eagerly
Waited
Eyes fixed
Upon the midnight blue skyline
That seemed
To make the stars
Twinkle brighter,
Searching
For a
Blazing commit
To pas though
The atmosphere.
