Everyone looks at you

like you are a chewed piece of gum

on the bottom

of their Keds and Uggs.

All they see

is a girl

who has, what looks like

contrails from planes

on her wrists

And her choppy black hair

They look at her,

and see dark eyes,

and black nails.

Skinny jeans and black converse

Nobody knows

the emotional pain she suffers

Everyone looks at her and only sees

what lies on the outside

of her suffering and pain.

Nobody comes close to her,

in fear that she will only lash out

or huddle away in fear and pain.

Nobody will understand

this deep pain

that is residing in her person,

and will never release it's firey gasp

from her crying and tortured soul.
