I know my mind says no

But my heart says yes

They all say it's just a silly dream

A pointless, silly dream

"You'll never make it" they say

"You won't survive" they scream

But their words don't affect me

I will keep living my dream

I will try hard

Never giving up

Finding new ways

To prove them wrong

Being the person

They thought I wouldn't become

I just say "look at me now"

Proving them wrong

It doesn't matter where you start

It doesn't matter what gets in your way

You will get there

Keep on pushing

No matter what your mind says

Follow your heart instead
