Nowadays you see

Violence down the street

Punches being thrown

The crack of various bones

People gather round

But instead of saying stop

You hear them chant with all their might.

Police sirens come by

And the people run and hide.

Handcuffs being handed

Butts are being landed

On the bottom of the seat.

And still the echo cries

And down the street you hear

the shouting of some peers.

The words leaving there mouths

The grayness of the clouds

Help worsen up the scene.

The lights of the houses are bright.

What has our nation become

Once wise and now dumb.

Peace is now a rarity

And a rage part of the routine.

How violent a city could be
