Poem #36

My soft hand caressed the sands in the beach

The sands are as warm as a human's love

That's where I can feel that I am safe

My ears could hear the loud but soft waves from the sea

The waves are as calm as my recent self

That's where I realize that sometimes we just need to listen

My nose can smell the nature that is around me

The nature is as relaxing as a pillow

That's where I am suppose to be comforted

I tried to sing using my calm voice

Not letting a small mistake come out of my mouth

I stopped singing and started walking towards the water

My eyes reached the pretty sunset

That is in front of me, readying to go down

I moved closer and closer to the sunset

The more I walk towards the sunset, the deeper the water will be

I walked until the water reaches my thighs

I gently swayed my hands over and over on the water

I smiled and looked closely

To watch the sunset and think what life really means

and somehow, I can feel happiness, peace and love

but what's more is that I realize that...

I am so lucky that I can feel, hear, smell, speak and see.
