Four years
Tenderness, warmness, and love were the only things she knew
The negativeness of this cruel world were absent in her mind
At least, that was what she deciphered
Honey-coated words were the ones she grew up with
Absent were the harmful things
Father, Mother, Aunt, Uncle, Cousin
They brought her only happiness and joy
When that fateful day came, it was unknown to her
What is this emotion that feasted upon her soul?
Her soul cried out, it cried out for joy, for the emotion to end
It held no mercy for her soul, for her body
Was this pain?
She wished upon the starry sky for it to end
Misery
Mercy
Her vision was filled with stars and wishes
Yet none of these relieved her of the monstrosity
Warmth, love
When had this feeling swept inside her?
Mother
That’s the word that came to her feeble mind
Tears splattered onto her cheeks
The distant sound of cries came to her ears
Why was mother crying?
Her mother never cried, why now?
Why?
Love poured inside of her
Sweet words embraced her, trying to relieve the pain
The pain left her body, they were replaced by love
As the energy slipped out of her soul,
She murmured to the loving embrace
“Mama said that it was okay.”
This embrace relieved her of her monstrosity
The monstrosity named death
