Dark Empty Space
Dark Empty Space
I stand alone in these hallowed out halls,
The lies all plastered along these walls.
I pick of the pieces of my broken exterior,
And hope to fix the dying interior.
The souls here are broken,
Nothing but pieces.
The lives here are broken,
Just a few pieces.
I paste together that crooked smile.
Just so I stay in style.
I fill in the cracks.
Smile or two to fill this empty corridor,
That shines past the broken old doors.
The space feels airy,
As if everyone's okay,
Maybe we all had just suddenly changed.
The space feels less empty,
The darkness lifted.
Maybe just that smile,
Fixed all the broken pieces.
