She had been told by many

That she was a gem

All so rare that no one can find it.

That even the sun's beam.

Starts to compere to her.

Though she wished to change,

She could bring herself to.

Until she met one that was strange.

For he was one that many called ugly.

His eyes were bright blue.

His nose hooked.

His lips parted in a way that shook,

All that saw him, booked.

The girl didn't understand,

Why people were being mean.

She wanted it to be different.

But to them she was the queen,

All because of her beauty.

And he was the peasant that got thrown around.

She couldn't stand it no longer.

And she threw down the crown.

Saying, that if he shall be thrown aside

For what he can't control.

Then I shall not rule

A kingdom with no soul

And no heart.

When you come to your senses,

Then I shall rule again.

With that they left over the fence.

To be happy in a land

That there was no such thing as hate.

They had many children.

And the hideous fall in love.
