I watch as you take it all away,

My room has been snooped in,

You ask to see my phone and laptop,

My privacy is being invaded,

Becoming nonexistent.

It makes me wonder 

How trying to be a good daughter and follow the rules i'm given

Or even worth existing anymore.

No longer am I allowed to hide myself behind closed doors

To keep my sanity intact.

How does this fix our dysfunctional relationships and family

Or my shattered heart?

No, it does neither!

All it does is make you feel more powerful.
