I don't just wanna live anymore
I  feel the pulse in my veins
I feel the life within me

things I never thought of before
the ray of sun hitting just right
making the color of someone's eyes shine
the wind gently playing with my hair
the colors blending in a sunset
the smell of the earth after it rains
the sparkle in the eyes of a baby as they laugh

it's the small things I took for granted
as I allowed myself to sit in my own head
miserable but trapped

and then I met you
and you were like a breath of fresh air
or the discovery of a new color
you brought me joy and wonder back into my life
and oh how long I wished I could feel this thrill again
