An Inaccurate Poem About Life
Life is not always unique and different
Yes, some people disappear and some leave an imprint
Take Albert Einstein or John Newton
Or maybe Barrack Obama or Alexander Hamilton
People with different backgrounds, interest and stories
Yet all filled with love, hate and glories.
They shaped history and changed the world
We call them heroes, saviours because of everything they whirled.
So you think "How can I change the world too?
How can I influence people with things I knew?"
To that I say, "How should I know? Figure it out yourself."
Cause in reality, it doesn't just happen overnight, fame and wealth.
I read a poem saying life is all about love, sharing and caring.
Well that's not true, it's more like, overbearing.
When you're young, you're filled with hobbies and expectations
As you grow up, you're filled more with unwanted realizations.
Starts with small things first, like the non existence of mythical and magical beings
Then you start realizing that when you were a child all you have been was dreaming.
Remember you were scared of things like the dark, sharp objects or sharks, now it just seems funny
Think of real fears like, student loans, rents and bills, basically anything involving money
But life is not always that bad, look at how far humans evolved
All the things and that we've found, all the mysteries we've solved
Yeah, but our planet is changing "Global warming is real"
People who say that never actually know how to feel
They act like they care, like by telling more people they're solving the problem or making an impact
Well what are they really doing? Do people's awareness really help these facts?
Well, what would I know, I'm not a geologist
But the subject still persist.
Alas, in the end we're all the same
Just pawns in gods game
But in every game of chess, there are more than just pawns
Like there's more to this universe than what we see god has drawn
Since birth humans had a choice
Only thing is, will you ignore it or will you listen to reasons voice
In human nature, we will eventually think "What's the point of living?
What's the point of sharing, caring and giving?
Because in the end we're all just slowly dying
So what's the point of hating, taking and lying?"
The choice we've had since birth was either, making something out of your life
Like building a family or career, getting a decent job or become a husband or wife
Or not participate in this world and become something close to rubbish
That's what people call being self centered and selfish
Just thinking of you and you alone
You're the only ruler of your life on that lonely throne
That's what we've been taught, the only options we had
Become productive and happy or become bad and sad
So now you think, "What was the whole point of this poem then?"
"Is this the conclusion and has this poem come to an abrupt end?"
I actually have no conclusion, nor do I have the meaning of life
I don't have solutions to your struggles or your strife
I'm sorry if that was what you were searching for, the truth is I also have no clue
I have no philosophical reason for why he or she died or why the sky is blue
You could explain it with science but it doesn't really have all the answers
If it did human race would've already figured out the cure for all types of cancers
So what is the true meaning of life? Well it differs for different kinds of people
To some it's family, to others it's worshipping the memory of The Beatles
But as I said before "Figure it out yourself", cause that's the rule in this world
You really can't control the life of any boy or girl
No matter how much you try, you will never succeed in controlling humans
So no matter how many times you watch it, it won't happen like it did in that movie about a guy named Truman
Cause that's just life and that's how it goes
So you have to figure out how to solve your problems and how to get out of your woes
I'm sorry if you've read this a thousand times and you still have no solution
But this is my take on life and that was my conclusion
