Every day I work on making my mask
When I am alone
So everyday when they see me
They don't feel they need to worry
So I can live in solitude
That is all I wish for
But when I cannot have it
My mask get used once more.

But everyday it's cracking
It isn't finished yet
But I still need to use it
So it's falling apart at my fingertips
Just one more day
A week
A month
Then I will have time
To make my mask
More beautiful and right
So more people will notice me
So more people will care
But they will love the mask
Not the being underneath
filled with despair.
