Dear Preceding Generations,

Hey guys just a little heads up there is a lot of cussing in this because I wrote this while I was upset and needed to vent so yeah just wanted to warn y'all.  Love Y'all hope you enjoy!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear Preceding Generations,
Please stop with your bullshit about how since we are young we shouldn't involve ourselves in what's going on in the world we live in and that we should just sit there like an obedient puppy while you ruin our world. Ever since we were young children in elementary school we knew we had to grow up quick, since we were constantly told that it would be up to us to fix the world we live in. A lot of us have learned this lesson personally at an outrageously young age.
Have y'all not noticed that while you were bickering about the lesser important things that are going on, we were in the background starting a revolution to spark a necessary change. Have you noticed that while you have been blaming us for stuff that happened long before we were even born, we were trying to fix everything, even though it shouldn't be up to us. Have you noticed that even though most of us suffer from mental disorders, due to the pressures and stuff y'all have imposed on us, we still do not pass up the opportunity to stand up for someone else who is suffering more than us. Have you noticed that even though we are timid on the outside, due to what has happened to us up to this point in our lives, on the inside we are wolves ready to stand up for our pack, no matter the cost. Most of us cannot even stand up in front of a class of our peers, but you better believe that every single one of us would stand up to a homophobic racist Karen, who was attacking someone. Heed my warning, we may be in hibernation right now but just you wait the moment we feel threatened, as shown by the Black Lives Matter movement, we will come out of the shadows and show you that we have every right to be given control of this world.
If you were to give us the right to make changes in the world some of the first things to be done to be done would be as follows.  One I can almost guarantee is that we would make sure everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, has human rights and that no one group has more power than another. We would make sure that everyone in the LGBTQ+ community has a right to be accepted openly in everyday life and that none of this "right to turn away help to people just because you don't agree with their choices'' bullshit existed. We would make sure that just because someone was in a legal position no matter how small or large, yes even common law enforcers to the president, would be upheld to the law and would be charged for murder and would not be protected by the position in the government in which they are employed in. We would make sure that women have equal rights to that of a man. And that there are more laws put in state that will make sure no one can get away with sexual assault and I don't care if they're the goddamn president they can kiss my ass if they think that I will tolerate it. We would change the school system to make it more about learning again and less about a dictatorship that we have been forced through. We would make sure that the dress codes are just and fair and that anyone can not get away with anything sexual and it that the victim would not be instantly blamed based on their choice of outfit or anything like that. We will make sure that there are classes to actually benefit the upcoming generation and help them with actual life skills and they can pursue other things if they WISH it, but are not forced beyond the basics. We would make it to where all sports get equal pay, and yes I am including the marching band in this because beyond y'all s belief if you took one minute to go through the training we go through to be able to be calm when a bee has literally taken perch on your glasses and you're at set and can't move (yes this actually happened to me and I managed to get the bee off of my glasses and onto my cart that held my synth on it without it stinging me. In fact, it just decided to hang out with me for a while, I can't remember what I named it though, anyway) you would call it a sport. We would make sure to allow other countries to help us in a time of need versus pretend that when they have to secretly help us that they're American citizens and that they are actually officers to keep up a facade that we are a superior country and a force to be reckoned with, and that we don't need any help (yes this actually happened look it up!!!). We will make sure that every person can get the help that they need for whatever they're dealing with whether that be mentally or physically. We would make sure that people don't have to be living out of their cars or that they have to beg for money on the street just to afford some food. We would make sure that homework be outlawed because even though y'all say it is necessary, it is the main reason my generation is so stressed and can't ever function properly due to sleep deprivation. And while we are talking about sleep deprivation in teenagers or just kids in general, school would be moved back to an acceptable time that would coincide with what a certified somnologist (sleep doctor) says it should be moved to, to benefit the most students. We would also make sure to fund the scientists in charge of the research on global warming so we can fix that while we're at it because we can only guess how fucked it's going to be after this. And yes, I know most of my points have to deal with America, that is because I am an American citizen and I have not been taught the ways of other countries, but to all of the ones who are apart of my generation, I hope this also helps y'all.
Since I feel the need to bring this to your attention this whole thing was written by a fifteen year old about how I would like to see my world change, not for a school project or anything but because I am sick and tired of watching you all fuck up this world and have our futures pay the price. I usually try to stay out of politics and ignore them to the best of my abilities but due to how much shit y'all have been doing in the White House I can't help but speak my mind on the matter. We may be young but you have to remember, we were raised dealing with this and have prepared for this moment for our entire lives so you can sit back and let us work or you can continue to fail at what you're doing and screw up the world even more. And I know that I have no right to speak on this matter and y'all can call my bluff that I have no idea how to go about any of these things or what I'm talking about might just be a pipe dream, but what you need to know is that the most amazing things all started that way. The American Revolution, The Black Lives Matter Movement, The Civil Rights Movement, The Women's Suffrage Movement, all of these things that originally sparked in the minds of those with little power who grew to be known as some of the greatest men and women in our history. So while you may be reading this and thinking how I'm just an insolent child, show this to someone you know who is a part of my generation they might just agree with some of my points above. And to all my fellow young ones, don't let them control you, it may seem like we have no power but just you wait, our time will come and we will show them what it means to a part of our generation.
Sincerely,
Gen-Z
(yes I know I signed this Gen-Z but I am not speaking for my entire generation, these are my personal views and I just felt like who it was to should reflect who signs it)
I love y'all and I really hope you like this. I understand if y'all feel the need to either unfollow me or block me after this I do not fault you. And yes, I am still working on the latest chapter of my book and the editing of it is taking me forever but I promise I will get it out to y'all as fast as I can. CONTINUE BEING YOU AND SPEAKING UP FOR WHAT YOU BELIEVE IN!!!!!!
"Since our leaders are behaving like children, we will have to take the responsibility they should have taken long ago." ~Greta Thunberg
"Change is coming, whether you like it or not" ~Greta Thunberg
(yes, I know that these have to deal with the climate change revolution but they fit what I was saying so well so I felt the need to include them.)
