Wing of fire, wings of night
Wings of darkness and wings of flight.
But none of these I shall not have,
For I am a person who can never have the last laugh.

Everyone thinks I'm weird and I don't blame them so.
For I think that the best game ever is Minecraft Storymode!
It's fine to have your own opinion, I just seem to be wrong.
Like every of my life I couldn't find my wings to fly.

While everyone is soaring through the skys,
Wether wings or by plane...
I'm always grounded with the ball and chain wrapped around me.

My wings tied up make me stay here.
I want to be with them but I'm always here.
Down on Earth, seeing everything so clearly,
"The pain," I would say, "it's killing me..."

But like the changing of seasons a new me comes with it.
While all my friends are destined to have families of their own, I cannot find my wings to fly.
For no bird would want a flightless Raven, not even another raven who I've learned to love so much.

Needs and wants are oceans apart, like love and seeds.
We don't need love but we need seeds to survive,
It's what we eat
It's a delicacy.
But I guess seeds are considered a delicacy too eh?

We don't need them because we want them.
That's the problem... want.
We can't want it... I can't want it.

Being shunned for liking other Ravens like myself is a sin.
So everyone says I came out wrong.
Everyday two crows would hit on me, being flightless like myself.
But they aren't chained down like me.
I was too blind for their kindness,
So I drove them away.
So they flew and flew.
With their new magnificent wings of fire... wings of flight.
They may not be wings of darkness, but wings of night.

I am the only one who has wings of darkness,
No other bird sees the world in the way I do.
So as every weakest link must go...
And I remained tied...
Tied up with my ball and chain.
I drive everyone away, with words or looks.
My chain only gets tighter and the ball only gets heavier.

And as my flock fly's away with all the people I love
I remind myself, "I can't want it.
I can never want it.
I can never have the last laugh.
I can never find love.
I can never have friends.
I can never break from this ball and chain."

So what is this?

Well dear reader it's a challenge! After finishing Doki Doki Literature Club I decided to make a writing challenge! Every day from Monday to Friday we have to create a poem! One poem for every day. Be glad it's five and not seven. But if you don't have the time for this I understand, I thought it could be a cool thing for everyone to do!

So here are the rules
1: make a poem every day (not mandatory)
2: it could be between 100 - 1000 words long
3: it could be about anything! It could be in the perspective of your favorite character, what you think about a game. Anything!
4: You can put it in a book your currently working on, make a separate book, or private message me/put it on my wall.
5: Have FUN!
