Winter Haiku
Icicles glisten,
Snow shimmers in the sunlight,
Frost clings to branches.
Colorful evening sky,
The bright disk illuminates,
Coloring the snow.
Smoke rises from stacks,
Brick houses radiate warmth,
Light glows from windows.
Color fades from the sky,
Night settles upon the day,
Stars glow from above.
The moonlight calls you,
Coldness welcomes with embraces,
Then gray fades to black.
All is calm at night,
All is silent in the dark,
Nothing stirs 'til morn.
