the pen hadn't been worth stealing
she had a very bad feeling
it didn't just write, but something more
she saw it when it left the drawer
once she grabbed it, it stick to her
she couldn't get it off ever
she tried and tried, alas, it stayed
the more she tried, the more it weighed
when finally, she let it be
she slowly then, began to see
accepting it, she used it more
it slowly became less a chore
and as she saw its usefulness
she used it with more gentleness
she came to like it, her new pen
she repaid them the cost times ten
and thanking them for showing her
what first pained her, made her better
