I think my greatest accomplishment
in my life, since I've been a poet
is once, I made someone happy
I didn't know it until this week
honestly, it made me cry
and it made my day, I won't lie
I'd been praying she'd be happy
she doesn't know how much it meant to me
I talked to her, too, in her dark times
when she was fighting against her mind
I told her two poems, "Please" and "Breathe"
I wrote those ones for her, you see
I told her to hold the last line dear
"Breathe out, so, don't you dare disappear."
she said "Ok," it seemed honest
and, to this day, I still persist
asking her how was her day
so maybe, she will not stray
from the hope she felt again
but, I can't help thinking, since then
for the first time since I started to write
I feel like I've done something right
I made just one single person happy
yet, it meant the world to me
