Chicken, or something
I ate a chicken nugget in the car today.
I don't care what the other people say.
they stared at me, jealous, through the window,
as I bit through the crunchy crow,
I gasp in disbelief,
this was some amazing beef!
It only took a second
Before my interpreter beckoned
"That's not crow or beef," Henry says
"That's a giant chicken leg!"
then a tap on my shoulder,
I turned around in a confused blur
I see Henry's ghost praying
For all the sandwiches he's been slaying
now you see why they were watching
some people were even wrecking
around the sacrificial circle, dancing,
fires a blazing, llamas staring,
I start to worry
As the llamas get birdseed
chirp chirp the birds chant
chirp caw chirp caw chirp caw they rant
where there were once llamas, birds now flutter,
I start to run, but it's hard, as i am a stick of butter,
melting, melting, melting, melting away
I thought I would find a love but no, not today
i start to burn in the harsh sunlight,
but then a bird grabs me and bursts into flight,
bringing me closer to the sun,
I think to myself, I'm surly done
if only there were a bun for me to drip on,
my drips would make such a lovely song,
alas, that will NEVER happen
but if it did, I'm a dragon
I would toast the buttered bun,
then I would give it to my beloved son,
Paul.
THE END
Note: I really don't know what happened. I did the same as the last poem and switched off. But, this happened.
