UNIVERSE

Name: Shifting silhouettes (in bakeries)

Description: A bakery with a little secret, that turns out pretty big. 

Genre: Generic universe on a twist
History: The universe has always had a little magic.Rules: Magic system: Only 1 huge Family Corporation has this, and they're called the Smith Family. Sounds very normal and everyone in the family, distant and close are affected.The level of magic is totally random. Close family can have weak magic or strong and vice versa.

People who become family through marriage will not carry magic but has to swear on some ritual not to tell anyone. For the people who aren't allowed to know knows, they will die in 1 year. There are 2 ways to prevent a stranger's death:1. Killing someone from inside the family in exchange (soul for a soul)2. Be forever bound to the person that made them discover the magic. They must both of them have to have children, regardless of gender/wants. If the 2 don't cooperate, they will both be executed.

If more then 1 person finds out almost simultaneously, still, the one that knows first is the one having to be bound. Also! There's a limit too how much magic a city can take. 

Too much, magic will control people and... kill people. Magic kind: Magic, as in being able to change into animals.

PLOT

Setting: 2nd year of high school

 Hannah and Melinda find the bakery while delivering some packages there. Nothing weird, just introducing characters. 

They spend an afternoon there (it provides wi-fi and chairs (sort of like a cafe and bakery mix. They also have a 'library' which customers can borrow books from)

a new dud transfer to their school (backstory: moved cuz of business. mother decides to open shop here)

Melinda and the dude get along pretty well

 Goal: to make Hannah talk abt stuff with the dude. neither seems interested

Hannah, on the other hand, is too scared to say anything (wrong words/response she'll get; afraid to bother him), so she mostly observes their interactions. 

motivation: to stop the awkward situation there is w/out Melinda

feelings:Hannah: pretty 'eh' about the whole thing at first, but begins to feel happy and nervous when meeting him. 

Melinda: pretty cheerful throughout, but especially happy and proud for/of Hannah, as she's making advances. 

boy dude: nervous, not that excited, but feels 'meh' in general. not overly ecstatic.
haha, a school project w/ a few people! growth for Hannah! social talk, yes! 

meets with Tyler and talks (dudebro refers to the other protag)

Melinda encourages Hannah to interact with dudebro, which eventually leads him to become friends with her.
how? small, kind things. hannah's trying her best to be considerate; works to be noticeable. the boy does too, silently, in a small, quiet way. (chapter; small things) 

dudebro: tries to avoid huge interactions because he seems pretty adamant to not get close. 

Hannah gets scared and avoids him too

Melinda is generally confused about what's happening; asks Hannah, but is ignored, saying it's stupid and stuff

finally confesses that it's cuz of the dudebro not wanting to chat. Melinda advises her to just go for it(chat w/ him), cuz if none of them goes for it, nothing will happen. Tyler demands they talk cuz he can't handle his bro in a shit mood anymore

moment in the bookstore (like Hannah and dudebro bumps into each other and they began talking abt their favorite books)

then it's a thing between them where they meet up and chat.

in the gist of it, a sign to attract people to sign up and join the bakery pops up, requesting a waiter (?)they invite Melinda, but she's always busy so mostly doesn't come. Tyler skates, he doesn't come either 

Melinda and Tyler become friends fast; become partners in crime; bitching abt people, in general, they become quite happy in their routine
but Hannah becomes suspicious cuz dude-bro always in and out at the same time; when she requests to change time, he would say no, no matter what. thinks is weird, but keeps it to herself

but the fit to the puzzle is when they spot a Neko-like figure cross their path. at abt 6, kinda dark sees a shadowy figure with cat ears what??? they follow the figure, but it soon disappeared.

they, already having suspicion, talks about it in secret, w/out telling dude friend (because he's new and stuff)deciding to enroll in the cafe, they do. lo and behold, the friend dude is in that cafe! apparently, the boss's son. Tyler knows abt it; doesn't make a big deal

Hannah and Melinda: shocked, but happy that they can talk to their friend. boss' son: nervous and begins to sort of avoiding them. 

Hannah begins to notice. (tense, worried)Melinda (secretly) confronts Tyler, who also knows nothing, but is worried. they both ask dudebro, who lets them know that (dang) he's dealing with some death stuff, and they sympathize with him. they all agree not to tell Hannah (she emotional) until they find the right time. the 3 of the bond.

Hannah and dudebro have a little chat and that dudebro isn't avoiding them, but ... (a lie). Hannah senses that its a lie and says so. he fidgets but eventually comes clean. like expected, Hannah didn't take it well (cries more than him), but hugs him and tells him it's okay. he begins tearing up too and just spurts out stuff that he's been bottling up.

Hannah tells Melinda they're bonding (gets here through talking about cats, then cat deaths, then this)the 3 of them bond, and occasionally have talks like these w/ Tyler. he jumps in and out, but always knows the whole story (?how?)after a few months of working, they found the Neko figure. again. this they're like, "god damn it. we're gon' find this dude." 

epic chase scene turns out, oHoOHOHO, its the dudebro

He explains the rules and since the first to see is Hannah, she has to be bound. They do the tradition, and thus the emotional growth. 

oh, and they need to tell Hannah's dad, which FREAKED him out, of course, but eventually accepts the things, even having a good relationship dude bro's parents already know so it's all good (they've seen her work too)

Melinda and Hannah have a good girl cry about just... stuff. turns out, Melinda (has a bf) has broken up w/ her, so they have to talk a lot abt it. Mel tells Tyler, and they too bond w/ Melinda. they get through this together, with bro dude (he knows last) bro dude and Hannah starts getting closer, like, chatting more in school and shit

then gasp, she'S catChIng feelings?! oh shIT, Melinda notices, and hAHhaHHaHa the teasing begins

stars shying away and all that fluff shit (include nEko!fluff because come o N)

then, just as things are going okay (hAh, you thougHt bitCh) Hannah's dad gets into an accident (drunk accident). 

Hannah gets into a dizzy drive, talks to dudebro, Melinda, and Tyler. they comfort her and-dad turns out okay, just that he'll have to deal w/ crutches now
and that's it!

ends w/ emotional fluff and a kiss! and a date. YES!
