Shinso never meant for it to go so far.

He only wanted his friend back.

He never meant for this to happen, he should've been happy and content that his friend was finally getting the recognition he deserved, instead he ruined it, ruined his friend's live and he'll have to live with it for the rest of his life.

He'll never become a hero like this.

It all started when Present Mic had a raffle for someone to be in his studios for a day, sharing a day of radio talk with him, Izuku has been so excited when he won, rambling about it enthusiastically to Shinso. Shinso was of course, supportive, he doesn't see his quirkless friend smile so much.

Izuku, despite his spectacular grades, his skill at sports, his all loving, friendly personality and his generosity, was hated. Rotten milk thrown at him at lunch, his shoes always seem to go missing after school, notebooks ripped apart, uniform scorched, the always present flower vase on top of his chair, a single white flower ontop, the angry scribble of marker on his desk, sometimes on him.

All because he was quirkless.

And even still, he somehow still always drives the bullies from off of Shinso. If Izuku had a quirk, he'd be the most popular guy at school, loved by all but due to some freak accident in his genetics, he ended up quirkless in a world filled with quirks.

It's heartbreaking, Izuku deserves all the happiness in the world, which is why Shinso should've been happy when Izuku got the attention he deserved when that day, the reviews for Present Mic's show boomed, everyone was talking about the happy, enthusiastic, nerdy boy rambling happily with his idol. It was an adorable scene and people flocked to it, for the first time, no one cared if Izuku was quirkless, people were finally able to see him for who he really is.

He should be happy for him, he should be, especially when Izuku got an invite to go to his studio again, until it became an almost daily occurrence, when Izuku was invited unto shows, surrounded by his idols, wide eyed, pure admiration and happiness written on his features, he should've been satisfied, even if it wasn't directed at him anymore.

But Shinso was selfish, terribly so, Izuku barely has anytime for him anymore and... it hurts.

'Izuku Midoriya??? That quirkless kid at my school??? He's a total brat! Probably caught up so much in his quirklessness that he thinks people won't fight back to him!!! He's a big bully here and guilt trips everyone, I hate his guts!!!'

Shinso bit his lip as he posted it on an anonymous account which hopefully won't be traced back to him.

He closed his phone and went back to sleep.

He wakes up to his phone vibrating endlessly.

'He threw rotten milk at me one time I had to stay in the nurses office and hide out because I was afraid people would bully me even more! Why does he even have that?'

'He steals my lunch, says I don't need it since I have such a strong quirk anyways, I'm always hungry at lunch and usually I have to share with my friend! Just because he's quirkless he thinks he can take advantage of us!'

'People in this school always end up with missing shoes and clothes, I bet he steals him, he's a weirdo and probably a pervert too! Some adult, please just teach him some goddamn lessons or manners!'

'He rips my notebooks apart or steals them, thinks that because I have a strong quirk, I have no brains, sorry not everyone can be on top of the school like you :p'

'He brings this lighter to school even if it's not allowed, says that it's for protection when he just burns random stuff! You can check our school there's scorch marks everywhere because of him! He seriously needs helps or better yet, he should just kill himseld xD!!!'

'I found him scribbling on some desk- actually here's a picture of him trying to get rid of the evidence so desperately!!! How pathetic!!!'

Shinso doesn't think much of it, Izuku has heard worse, suffered through worse, a couple more people to hate him surely won't affect him that much, right?

'Shinso... I'm getting kicked out of school for bullying.'

'I'm sorry I won't be able to protect you anymore...'

Shinso suddenly felt like wanting to vomit. He held his phone with shaky hands yet at the same time, gripping it tight, they wouldn't right? The teachers- they all know that it's all lies, that Izuku was the one getting bullied, they see it everyday they-

'I feel kind of bad for my parents... they're mad at me... property damage and all that stuff... I'm not sure if they can pay it off...'

'Do you think it will be better if I just die?'

Shinso froze, he wants to type something, or call his friend- anything but his fingers won't move.

'People are talking bad about me online I wouldn't mind... but it really hurts to hear your idols sound so betrayed... I feel so bad, I'm dying with guilt, do you think it'll just be better if I die?'

'Atleast Present Mic wants to hear me out.'

'But I'm just so tired now. I can't do this anymore, I'm sorry.'

'Have I ever told you that I love you?'

'I love you.'

At the grounds of Orudera Junior High at 8:30 in the morning, Izuku Midoriya is found dead at the grounds of the school.

Cause of death : Suicide.
