During the Battle of Manhattan many demi-gods lost their lives, that included Harriet's twin sister, Evie. The girls were the light of the camp, always wearing identical smiles and listening to music behind the back's of Chiron and Mr D (which was easier than anticipated considering that their cabin was filled with their half-siblings). They were considered some of the best fighters camp had ever seen, which was no surprise considering they were the children of Ares. It was no secret that part of Harriet died alongside her twin and best friend for fifteen whole years, she no longer struts around grinning or obnoxiously sings Britney Spears songs in her cabin, but instead mopes around with the ghost of a smile. When Percy Jackson goes missing and Annabeth Chase finds three more half-bloods, well let's just say that it wasn't at the top of Harriet's priorities to go on a quest to rescue Hera and form a bond with a cute guy.
