Yeah, I'm vague, but what's new? This story is essentially about a group of strangers who suddenly are transported back in time and across North America to a small town. There, they are forced to confront the decay, the monsters (metaphorical?) and the secrets of the town. I can't really tell you much past the premise, because the outcome is entirely dependent on your OCs? Do they stay in contact? What do they do?

Also, I'll be accepting no more than nine people. Everyone should have a unique time and place, and if I like your application but someone else got the place first, I'll ask you to switch some stuff around if possible. Also, due to the nature of this, I can't promise that you'll appear in the book if you aren't chosen.

Name: Hubert Tremblay, but call him Hue

Time and place: 1650s Canada

Personality: Hubert Tremblay is extremely bright, yet he refuses to apply himself. He is able to pick up information like nobody's business. He is more of a tactician than a studier and is able to quickly think on his feet. Hue is a very physical person, loving the outdoors and running. He is very adventurous and a bit mischevious (loving teasing others). Hue can be a bit sarcastic and self-centred, preferring to act in his own interest rather than the larger community's. He doesn't care much for honesty nor responsibility, preferring to have fun above all else. Hue also doesn't really have many friends. He has no problem being with other people, but he has always found himself sticking out from the pack.

Backstory: Since Hue was so bright, he learnt English, French and Mi'kmaq at a young age. Consequently, he became a pretty big figure in his community, because of his intellect. Hue grew up in a massive family, with seven other siblings. When he was old enough, he had to begin working as a trader. Although, his real passion would be exploring the woods, and hunting and trading, rather than going to the woods. For now, Hue is stuck in his small town. Hue was forced by his parents to marry a woman, but they ended up falling in love. After about a year together, when the two were finally warming up to each other, she died. About six months later, he remains lost and confused.
