Chapter 8
Sam's POV
After Dean finished explaining what happened for the second time in under forty-eight hours, silence filled the room as the angels thought about their next move. Sam just sat there awkwardly. He didn't know what to say or do in this situation. So he just watched as everyone else finally started talking.
"Well that story didn't really help much," Gabriel said, "but I suggest that we start in the house that Sam was attacked in. Or somebody ask some townsfolk."
"I guess it's better than nothing," Dean said. "Let's go."
So Castiel asked for an address, and when Dean told him, Gabriel flew all of them there.
Sam examined the room they were in. For some reason, it looked strangely familiar. It was a completely bare room; the only thing in there was the curtains flapping due to the breeze let in from the open window. Then he realized that this must be the room where he was attacked.
"So this is where you found Sam on the ground?" Castiel asked, and Dean nodded. Gabriel had gone to check something out, and he flew back into the room at that moment.
"That werewolf you were hunting? It was a distraction," he said.
"What do you mean?" asked Dean, confused.
"There was something else here. Something very powerful, but I can't figure out what it is." He shook his head. "Whatever it was, that werewolf must have been one of its bodyguards. You two just happened to find the signs of a lycanthrope, and whatever it was guarding lashed out."
"Or it was a trap," Castiel added. "They could have set this up for something. A ritual perhaps? And for some reason, this ritual required memories, or lack of."
"Okay, but what the hell kind of a ritual requires something like that?" Dean chimed in.
"I don't know," Castiel admitted.
Sam just watched all of this in silence. After all, he wouldn't be able to be much help, now would he?
"Alright, well we might as well search the house for anything else that could point to whatever the hell we're hunting," Dean said, and he and the two angels left the room.
Sam was about to follow, when an overwhelming voice filled his head. "You can't trust them," it said. "They will betray you."
"And how do I know I can trust you?" Sam asked out loud.
"You can't trust them," the voice repeated. And then it was gone. Sam shook his head and followed the others to help search for clues.

Yeah, I'm ending it there. Sorry guys. I know I haven't updated this since September, but I kind of hit a road block. I know where I want the story to go, but I had to force this chapter out. However, you all deserve an update, and I'm really sorry that it's so cringey. But yeah, that voice in Sam's head is coming back. It's part of the story. Again, I'm really sorry for having such a short and cringey chapter after such a long wait. Honestly, I'm really surprised that people are reading this sucky story. Like seriously, I read back through this, and ugh. Anyways, thanks for reading! Tell me what you thought of this chapter. Is it as bad as I think it is? Am I over exaggerating? Your imput would be much appreciated. Okay. Bye!
