Chapter 4

Sam's POV
The man who claimed to be an angel just stared down at Sam, and it made him feel a little uncomfortable. But when he had touched him, he'd felt a warmth spread through his body as he felt any and all of his wounds close.

"Um... sure. You're an angel," he said in a sarcastic tone. Sam pointed at Dean "And he's a demon. And the doctors? What are they? Werewolves?!"

The man named Castiel sighed. He walked over to the closed door and locked it, making sure no one could enter. Sam watched with confusion as Castiel strode back to the center of the room. He stood up straight, and the lights began to flicker violently. Thunder clapped outside. Wait. It isn't raining. Sam looked out the window. There aren't even any clouds in the sky! Lightning illuminated the wall behind the man in the trench coat to reveal the shadows of... wings. And just as suddenly as it started, it all stopped.

"Y-you're... you're..." Sam couldn't seem to form complete sentences. What the hell was that?! Sam cowered in his bed at the... the thing standing before him.

Castiel didn't say anything. He just walked over to the door, unlocked it, and strolled back to Dean's side.

Sam was speechless to say the least. He just stared wide-eyed at the two men standing side by side, a little too close to be considered friends. He noticed this and couldn't help but ask. "Are you two dating or something?"

Dean blushed and immediately backed away from Castiel. "No! He just doesn't understand personal space."

"Oh," was all Sam said. It was too bad. They're pretty cute together.

He looked at Castiel again and a single image flashed in front of his eyes. It was so quick, Sam questioned himself if it even happened, but he couldn't get the image out of his head. A man, short in comparison to him, with golden hair and whiskey eyes. A name was whispered in his head along with the face. "Gabriel."

*Inside look into the wall in Sam's brain*

The wall created in Sam's brain had a tiny crack in it. When the angel had tried to destroy it, he barely chipped it. But it was enough. As the wall struggled to mend itself, a single memory escaped. A memory that had been pounding at the wall since it was put up. The wall fully healed itself after that, keeping any more memories from flooding into Sam's brain. Damn that angel.

*Back to reality*

He was snapped out of his trance when the angel spoke up. "Sam," he said in his gruff voice, "is something wrong?"

   "Wh-what do you mean?"

"You seemed pretty zoned out for a minute there," Dean said.

   "Are you alright?" Castiel asked.

   "Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine."

Yay! Update! Still pretty short, but a bit longer. I'm working my way up there! So Sam remembers Gabriel. That's a plus.

School has been keeping me pretty busy, but for some reason, I decided to update today. If anyone has been reading this, sorry for the wait.

I hope to have the next chapter out before October, soooo.... yeah.

Yep. That's about it. Until next time!
