Chapter 10
Dean's POV
"Dammit! He's not answering!" Dean nearly shouted as he dialed Sam's number for the twelfth time.
"Just give it up, Dean. He probably turned it off." Castiel placed a hand on Dean's shoulder, giving him a sort of sympathetic look.
"Why would he just run away like that?"
"I don't know, Dean. But this situation may be too much for him to handle. Remember, he doesn't know who he is. This must be too much to take in at once."
"I've searched all over town, but I can't find him," Gabriel reported as he appeared in the room.
Dean sighed. "Well, thanks for trying. I'll try his cell again."
"Dean. Don't bother. He won't answer. You know this."
"Then what the hell am I supposed to do, Cas?" Dean glared at the angel.
"Wait. Just wait for a sign."
"I'll keep an eye out. He's probably run off somewhere warded. But he has to leave eventually," Gabe offered.
"Yeah. Yeah, okay," Dean said, taking a deep breath and putting his phone in his pocket.
"Dean, please sit down."
"Shove a sock in it, Cas. I'm not gonna sit down. You know what it's like for your brother to disappear. I'm not just going to sit around on my ass and play with my thumbs while I wait for a sign. I'm going out to look for him." He pushed past Castiel and left the building, getting into his Impala before starting the engine and driving away to search for his brother.
Sam's POV
He looked around at the darkness that had consumed him before blindly searching for a light switch. It took a moment, but he managed to find one, flipping it on.
The lights slowly flickered on and Sam was able to get a good look at where he was. He couldn't quite tell what the warehouse was for, exactly, but there were really weird markings all along the walls. Okay, maybe it wasn't a good idea to come in here, Sam thought. He turned around and walked back to the door, trying to pull it open.
"I could've sworn this was unlocked," he mumbled to himself.
"Oh, but it was. You shouldn't have closed it," that voice said.
"Okay, seriously! Who are you?"
"So long as you're trapped in here, why not explore the warehouse a bit?" the voice offered, ignoring him.
"No! I want answers! Who the hell are you?"
"I said, search the warehouse, Samuel."
"Why won't you tell me who you are?"
"Look around."
Sam could feel the presence of the voice leave, and he sighed. He had a feeling he was never going to get answers with whoever that was. With the only other option being just sitting there, he decided the voice had a point and decided to explore a bit.
He didn't really find much. Mostly more weird symbols painted across the walls. One room he found, the lights wouldn't work, so he turned on his phone to use as a flashlight. He turned on that app, and shone the light around the room to see a rather disturbing sight. There was a lot of blood on the walls, at least, that's what it looked like. There were also bones. Human and animal alike. There was a chair with cuffs attached in the center of the room, which also had a satanic looking pentagram painted on the ground. All he could think was "I gotta get out of here."
The younger Winchester brother turned to try and find a way out when that voice came back. "Sleep."
"Oh hell no!" Despite not wanting to, though, he could feel himself growing more tired by the second.
"Sleep now, Samuel Winchester. Just sleep." And he fell to the ground, fast asleep.
