SUMMER'S POV

"Oh my gosh I am so excited!" Tomika said jumping up and down as we walked to school.

"Tomiks, for the last time, he may not ask me today." I told her.

Since my date with Freddy last night, she has been bugging me about when Freddy will ask me to be his girlfriend.

"But still, if you both had fun, and you two kissed, I don't think Freddy will just leave you available for anyone to snatch you." she insisted.

I blushed at the thought that Freddy wants me to be his.

Does he really want me to be his girlfriend?

I can't even express the simple though of him belonging to me. It's all I have ever wanted. I wouldn't even quit repeating it to myself, Freddy Huerta is my boyfriend. Like that'll happen, when pigs fly.

We got to school, went to our lockers, got our journal, and made our way to Mr. Finns class.

When we got there, we saw Zack and Freddy talking by the corner of the room.

Zack spotted us and waved, it made Tomika blush to the point where she looked like a tomato.

We waved back and walked over.

"Hey Tomika." Zack said giving her a hug.

"Hey Zack." She said hugging him back.

I saw Freddy looking at me, smiling. I walked closer to him with my head down, I was probably smiling like an idiot.

"Hey Summer." Freddy said grabbing my hand in his.

His tough made shivers run down my arm.

"Hi Freddy." I said looking up for the first time.

We just stood there and held eachothers hand for what seems like forever. I looked into his eyes and just let myself drown in them for the hundredth time.

This is one of the ways I would be ok dying with.

"Alright kids! Let's get started!" I heard Mr. Finn say coming into the classroom.

"Alright, first order of business..." I blanked out. I couldn't concentrate, I was focusing on the band on my own.

Tomika and I talked last night about everything we set up when we all went to the park. So I pretty much knew how everything was gonna go down.

We have 5 performances during the entire dance. We perform 7 songs total.

First song: Burn, by Ellie Goulding.
Singing: Tomika and me.

Second song: Stand by you, by Rachel Platten.
Singing: Tomika and me doing some vocals.

And right after that is our next song.

Third song: Cheap thrills, by Sia.
Singing: Tomika.

Fourth song: Our song, by Taylor Swift.
Singing: Tomika and me.

Fifth song: I hate you I love you, by Gnash with Olivia O'Brien.
Singing: Tomika and Zack.

Right after that is the next song.

Sixth song: Scars to your beautiful, by Alessia Cara.
Singing: Me.

I'm nervous about them insisting on giving me a solo, but they said I could do it. I hope their right.

Last song: Hall of Fame, by The Script.
Singing: Everyone.

Ring!

"Well there's the bell, everyone out." Mr. Finn said storming out of the room like super man.

I shook my head and laughed.

~Time Skip To Lunch~

I went to my locker to put my books away. When the door opened, a note fell to the floor.

That's odd.

I put my books away and pick up the note.

Meet me at the roof during lunch. I wanna ask you something.

It's not signed, but I think I know who it's from.

I blush as I close my locker and put the note in the pocket of my jacket.

When I am behind the door that leads to the roof, I wait and take a deep breath. Don't say anything stupid, and don't look to excited.

Ok.

I open the door only to be greeted by someone other than that I expected.

"Asher" I say.

"Hey Summer" he greeted.

"You wanted to talk to me?" I asked.

"Yeah, I wanted to ask you something." He said.

I'm nervous, but I don't want to be rude.

"Sure, go ahead." I said.

He motioned for me to walk closer to him. When I did he grabbed my hands in his, but I didn't get that shiver like I do with Freddy.

"Look Summer, I really like you, and I want you to give me a chance. I know it's a little over a month away, and it's girls ask boys, but will you go to the dance with me?" He asked.

I was wide-eyed. I removed my hand from his and just as I was about to say something, I got cut off.

"What the hell did you just say?!" I heard someone from behind me ask...

Angrily.

I turned around and saw a very furious Freddy standing by an open door.

I have never seen him this mad.

Freddy's POV

Where's Summer?

It's not like her to skip lunchtime.

"Hey guys I'll be back, I need to go to the bathroom." I tell Tomika and Zack.

"Alright." They both say.

I leave the table and go to her locker. She's not here either. The only other place I can think of that she could be is the roof, but she normally only goes there when she's feeling down.

I race to the roof. I don't want her to be sad.

When I get to the door, I slowly open it, but I hear a male voice.

"Look Summer, I really like you, and I want you to give me a chance. I know it's a little over a month away, and it's girls ask boys, but will you go to the dance with me?" I heard.

Oh hell no!

Its fucking Asher!

"What the hell did you just say?!" I yell.

I see Asher look at me with an annoyed look and Summer slowly turned around with a confused yet worried look on her face.

"What's your problem Freddy?" Asher asked, obviously angry.

He started to walk towards me.

"My problem is you just asked Summer to the dance." I said walking towards him as well.

"Yeah so? I like her and I want her to go with me." He said really close to my face.

Is he really trying to make me fucking angry?

I laughed softly and wet my lips before speaking.

"Yeah well sorry, she's taken." I said. Luckily, I'm taller than him.

"Oh yeah, by who? You?" He asked laughing.

"You bet, she's the most amazing person to ever come into my life and I'm not hesitating to say it, she's mine." I said.

I mean it. Summer is the best thing to ever happen to me and I'm stupid for not realizing it earlier, but I'm realizing it now, I'm not wasting time.

Not anymore.

"Ok, I see Summer is off limits, I'll see you later then." He turned back and waved at Summer who has been quiet this whole time.

She smiled lightly and waved back which I don't know why, but it made me a little angry.

Asher turned back and glared at me. He pushed my shoulder with this before leaving through the door.

I looked at Summer and she had a small shocked look on her face.

I sighed and I made my way down the stairs. I heard her behind me. When I reached the bottom of the stairs, I sat down.

Summer caught up to me and sat next to me. After a couple more seconds, she broke the silence.

"Did you mean what you said back there?" She asked softly.

I turned to look at her and I just drowned in her beautiful eyes.

"I meant everything, every single word Summer." I said.

"Freddy," she began and took my hand in her. I wish this could last forever.

"I want you to know, you're one of the best people to ever come into my life. And I wouldn't have it any other way." She said.

I was shocked at her words.

But I smiled and put my arms around her. I swear I probably blushed when she leaned her head in my shoulder.

I stood and put grabbed Summer's hands.

"Summer, you are the best person I have ever met, I love everything about you, inside and out. I don't want anyone to take you away from me or anyone to get you before I do. So two questions, will you go to the dance with me and will you be my girlfriend?" I asked.

I can't believe I'm so nervous.

She smiled and stood up.

"A thousand times, yes! But, will you go to the dance with me?" She asked.

"Yes." I said.

I smiled so hard and hugged her so tightly. I picked her up and sound her around making the sweet sound of her giggles escape her lips.

I put her down, my hands still on her waist and her arms wrapped around my neck.

I leaned in and kissed her. It makes me happy that I can now kiss her warm lips anytime I can, and when she let's me.

I moved my hand on her waist and I felt something in her jacket.

I broke the kiss and looked at what I had touched.

Summer just watched.

I checked her pocket and found a small folded paper. I read it and my anger and jealousy started to rise.

I just ripped it. Into tiny pieces.

When I was done I saw Summer blushing and smiling.

I grabbed her by the waist again and pulled her close so her stomach was touching mine.

She grabbed my shoulders and still looked at me with a smile on her face.

"You're mine." I said, almost in a whisper.

"I completely agree." She said.

I kissed her again.

She's finally my girlfriend.

Summer Hathaway is my girlfriend.

Yay, their together!!!!

I felt like this chapter took longer than usual 😂

So I really liked writing Freddy's POV, mostly cause this is kinda how I wish my boyfriend was😂 but that ain't gonna happen.
