𝖎𝖎. chating before boarding
The discovery of being able to talk to Harry through the window happened during a particularly challenging time in Charlotte's life. One evening, as she sat by the window, seeking solitude and introspection, she noticed Harry on the other side, seemingly lost in thought. Intrigued by the idea of communicating without speaking, Charlotte gestured to Harry, beckoning him to open his window as well. To her surprise, he reciprocated, slowly sliding open the window on his side. then slowly they start communicating through words.
With a nervous but curious smile, Charlotte initiated the conversation by mouthing the words, "Can you hear me?" to Harry. He nodded in response, both of them realizing that their windows served as a unique form of communication.
Over time, they developed an unspoken language through gestures, facial expressions, and even playful miming. They explored this newfound connection, using it as a way to communicate their thoughts, dreams, and emotions without uttering a single word.
Harry and Charlotte wanted to make the most of their time together before Harry departed for boarding school. On their last friendly date, they planned to spend the day exploring their favorite spots and reminiscing about their shared memories.
"Charlotte, I can't believe this is our last day together before I head off to Hogwarts, and God knows what might happen to me there. Let's make it a day to remember!"
"Oh shut it, Harry." She pinched his hand. "nothing will happen to you, and yes, I want us to create memories that will last a lifetime. Where should we start?"
Harry thought for a moment and shrugged."How about a walk in the park? We can go to that beautiful spot by the lake where we used to spend hours talking about our dreams."
A big smile formed on her face."That sounds perfect. I'll bring a picnic blanket, and we can just sit and enjoy the peaceful surroundings."
As they walked through the park, Harry and Charlotte embraced the nostalgia, taking in the sights and sounds that had become so familiar to them over the years.
"Remember when you used to bring your guitar here and sing under the trees? Those were the days."
They both laughed. "Yeah well, how can I forget when that's the only thing that comes to your mind when we go on a picnic."
After finding their favorite spot by the lake, they spread out the picnic blanket and sat down, the moment filled with a mix of joy and sadness.
As Charlotte gazed at the trees and let the breeze gently caress her hair, she closed her eyes, savoring the peaceful moment. Unbeknownst to her, Harry watched her with admiration. He thought she looked serene and truly beautiful. Harry had always loved the way Charlotte styled her hair, which resembled his own long and light brown locks. Sometimes her hair appeared disheveled or messy, and Charlotte would often complain about the challenges of styling it. However, Harry was always there to lift her spirits and make her feel beautiful, even when she didn't believe it herself.
"I don't want you to go," she whispered suddenly, her eyes welling up with sadness as she gazed at him.
Harry extended his hand and gently squeezed hers. If he had the ability to freeze time, he would do it in an instant, just to be able to stay with her forever. "You know I have to," he responded, his heart heavy with emotion.
"I know," she replied, her voice breaking his heart. "Months without you feel like hell. You're the only one who can rescue me from the painful existence I'm trapped in."
Charlotte's family is the worst. They make the Dursleys look like saints. But here's the twist: He is her father father and Aunt . Yes, the people who are supposed to love and protect her unconditionally. Instead, they treat her like their own personal servant, as if she's not their child at all. It's been like this ever since the day her mother passed away during childbirth, leaving Charlotte to bear the blame for her own existence.
Despite the years of mistreatment, Charlotte has remained patient. She's endured countless chores and insults, always hoping that one day her parents would realize the error of their ways. But enough is enough. The breaking point comes when her father decides to remarry and chooses none other than her own Aunt, her mother's sister, as his bride. Charlotte knows deep down that things will only go from bad to worse, and she fears the day she becomes trapped in a household ruled by her conniving Aunt.
Throughout this unbearable ordeal, Charlotte finds solace in a rather unexpected friend – Harry. Not Harry Potter, but a stray cat she discovered one rainy afternoon. Somehow, talking to this feline eases her troubled mind and soothes her thoughts. Harry listens attentively, his bright green eyes reflecting a depth of understanding she can't find anywhere else. He becomes her confidant, the only one who truly comprehends the pain she endures.
"Come with me."
Charlotte sat on the grass bed, her face filled with sadness, staring into Harry's pleading eyes. Just the thought of leaving her comfortable life behind to venture into the unknown sent shivers down her spine. She had always admired Harry's bravery and his magical world fascinated her, but she was a mere Muggle, an outsider who didn't belong.
"To where? Hogwarts? You know they don't let anyone who's not a witch go there. I won't even pass the wall," Charlotte protested, her voice tinged with sadness.
Harry furrowed his brow, his determination refusing to waver. He shook his head, resolute in his conviction. "No, not Hogwarts. I want you to come with me to my Godfather's place. He lives in a huge house, by himself. I've talked about you with him, and he knows you. He's excited to meet you."
Charlotte's heart skipped a beat. Despite her reservations, it was hard to deny the flutter of excitement that swirled within her. She had become quite fond of Wizarding world, despite the chaos of the magical world. And although she had only heard whispers about the notorious Sirius Black, Harry's Godfather, she was intrigued by the stories she had learnt as he told her. But the reality of leaving everything familiar behind was daunting.
"No, Harry, I can't," Charlotte whispered, her voice trembling with uncertainty, her eyes refusing to meet his gaze.
Harry's eyes bore into hers, a mix of determination and sadness. "Please, Charlotte. Why won't you come?"
Charlotte choked back her tears, feeling torn between her strong desire to be a part of this magical adventure and the fear of stepping into the unknown. "I...I just can't, Harry. I'm scared. Scared of the unknown, scared of what people will think of me. I don't belong in your world. I'm just a Muggle."
Harry slowly approached her, his hand reaching out to gently cup her cheek. "Charlotte, you belong wherever you feel happy and loved. You belong wherever you choose to be. You're not 'just a Muggle.' You're my friend, and that's more than enough. You don't have to worry about fitting in because you already do."
Charlotte tears spilled over, wetting her cheeks as she looked into Harry's earnest eyes. "But what about my family? What about my life here?"
Harry's grip tightened, his voice filled with empathy. "Your family doesn't have to know, Charlotte. They don't ever care. Think of the incredible experiences we'll have together. The magic, the secret passages, the new friends..."
Charlotte worries started to dissipate, gradually overtaken by a sense of adventure and possibility. Harry had always been an undeniable force in her life, igniting a spark within her that she hadn't realized even existed.
She took a deep breath, her trembling voice filled with newfound determination. "Okay, Harry. I'll come with you. I'll step into this magical world, not just for you, but for myself. I know it won't be easy, but I'm ready to face the unknown with you."
Harry's face lit up with joy, his smile infectious as he pulled her into a tight embrace. In that moment, Charlotte knew she was embarking on a journey that would forever change her life. And although fear still lingered, she was now armed with the belief that sometimes, taking a leap of faith was the greatest adventure of all.
"But..." She looked at him in the eyes. "After you finish this year."
He nodded his head in excitement.
Two days later and it's time for Harry to head to his first home, Hogwarts. And as their time together drew to a close, Harry and Charlotte held each other, their hearts heavy with the weight of their impending separation. Charlotte knew she would miss Harry dearly, but she also felt a sense of hope, knowing that they had discovered a unique form of communication that transcended distance and time after moving in with him to his Godfather's house.
"Just promise me one thing, Harry," she said, her voice trembling. "Promise me that no matter where you go or how hard things get, you'll always come back to me in one piece."
Harry looked into her eyes, his gaze filled with determination. "I promise you, Charlotte." He smiled. "You're the one person who has made this challenging time in my life bearable. No matter what happens, you'll always have a special place in my heart."
Tears welled up in her eyes as she held him tighter, not wanting to let go. The train station seemed to fade away.
