It's evening, and everyone is waiting for you in the hospital lobby.

Soon, you showed up with your dad, and behind you, Jungkook was following both of you.

Suddenly, your dad's phone rang. Jungkook stepped ahead and held you by your arm so that your dad could take the call.

He walked a little ahead to answer it. But when he returned, you could see his face was full of tension.

“Dad?” you called, more like asking what happened.

“It's nothing, princess. Let's go,” he said, but from his voice, you could tell that something very serious had happened. He held your hand and started walking again.

“Dad, you know you can't hide anything from me, right? Tell me what happened?” you requested, making your dad sigh.

“Something big happened in the Busan branch. The whole company's secrets leaked,” he sighed, making your eyes widen.

“Dad, you should go there. They need you the most. Oppa is not here, so you have to go, Dad.” you urged him.

“What about you, princess? My children are my first priority. I can't leave you like this at this moment,” he said.

“Yeah, I know, but that company is your dream and hard work, right? Just go. No need to be tense. I will be fine here,” you said, trying to cheer him up.

“Ummm, uncle, she can live in our house,” Jungkook, who was listening to their talk while walking behind them, suddenly said.

Both you and your dad looked at him in shock. “Umm... I know I shouldn't listen to your talk, but I already heard it, and now I feel like you should go, and Yn can live with us,” he said in a firm voice.

“Omo. Jungkook is right. I will take Yn with me. You go. I heard your son is not here. Don't worry about Yn. She will be fine with me.” She smiled sweetly.

“Thanks a lot. I don't know how to repay you.” Your dad smiled.

“You're already giving me your daughter. What more do I need, huh?” she said, caressing your hair, then took you with her while you bid goodbye to your dad, as he went directly from there to Busan.

Time skips to the mansion...

As soon as you entered, Mi-Hi and Mi-Cha frowned.

Jung-Hyun hadn't been at home for three days. He only returned today and saw everyone coming with you, but not everything looked right, so he quickly went towards the door and asked, “What happened, Mom?”

“Oh Hyun, you came back? Wait... I will tell you later. First, let me bring Yn to the room, okay?” He nodded.

In the meantime, Jimin explained the matter to Jung-Hyun. He seemed to be shocked.

Soon after Jungkook entered the house with some necessary things for Yn, Mi-Cha boiled with anger.

Everyone frowned except Jungkook. “She is scared of something, and she is trying to fight it. Not like some people who try to harm others when they get scared.” Saying that, Jungkook left, with Jimin following behind him.

“He just replied to me? Me? For that girl? Seriously!!!! Just wait and watch, Yn... What I will do.” She murmured and smirked, which didn't go unnoticed by her sister.

“Mi-Cha, I know that you didn't mean to hurt anyone with your words, but the way you said it was a bit rude. Don't get offended, but everyone will think like this after hearing what you said.” Breaking the two sisters' trance, Jung-Hyun said and headed upstairs, while Mi-Hi followed him.

Mi-Cha stomped her feet and walked out of there.

The next morning...

“Jungkook, can you please check on Yn to see if she is awake or not?” his mother asked him.

“Mom, why are you calling Jungkook? I will go. He has to go to the office early. There's no need to disturb him,” Mi-Hi said while smiling and headed towards your room.

“But as far as I know, today is the weekend, and both of us don't have to go to the office,” Jimin said, only to get smacked by his wife. “She can forget, Jimin.”

Soon you heard a knock on the door “come in” you gave the permission.

“Yn, are you awake?” she asked politely while entering.

“Yeah, unnie. I am awake and was just coming downstairs,” you said while tying your hair.

“Hmm... Anyway, Yn,” she called you.

“Yeah, unnie.”

“You know I never came to this house before marriage. What will I do? After all, it's my in-laws' house,” she said, making you frown. “Why did she suddenly start telling you those things?” That's the only thing you were thinking that time.

“I and Hyun were in a relationship since our college days. Once, I had a high fever. As you know, I am an orphan. I had to handle Mi-Cha as well. Still, I didn't come here. I respect the rituals; that’s why you know. You're lucky, right? Anyway, come downstairs.” Saying that, she hurriedly went downstairs.

“Did she just taunt me or something else?” you thought and went downstairs.

“Good morning, everyone,” you bowed and greeted everyone while joining the dining table for breakfast.

“Jungkook...” you whispered. No one noticed, as everyone was busy chatting.

He looked at you. “Can I go home?” you whispered again, not wanting to gain attention.

“And why though?” he didn't whisper, which made everyone look at you two. You quickly looked around and then started eating without answering him.

The way Mi-Hi spoke to you in the morning made you think maybe there are really some rituals that everyone is breaking because of you.

Jungkook was still looking at you. You looked at him and smiled nervously. “W-what? Eat!” you said.

“I am still waiting for my answer,” he replied. “W-what answer?” You were now feeling dumb.

“Why do you suddenly want to go home?” As soon as Jungkook asked, a loud gasp could be heard.

“Yn, what happened, dear? You don't like it here?” Jungkook's mom seemed concerned.

“Aahh, aunty, no, no. You're taking it the totally wrong way. Actually, I am totally fine today. And from tomorrow, I want to join college, as it's very important. My books, notes, and tablet—everything is at home, and I can't go to college without them. That's why I was saying.” You described it, but Jungkook didn't seem satisfied, as you could easily go to your house before college and grab your study necessities.

“Oh... Then you don't need to worry. Tomorrow, I will wake you up early in the morning so you can leave with Kook, and on the way, you can grab your study essentials.” She smiled sweetly, which you gladly returned.

After breakfast, everyone went to their rooms. You were about to enter, but....

“Yn...” You turned around only to find Jungkook standing there, looking at you.

“Can we talk?” You nodded as soon as he asked. Both of you went towards the terrace.

“Um—what do you want to—”

“Did anyone tell you something?” Without letting you finish, Jungkook asked this, startling you.

“I-I....”
