You know how in corny movies, it always rains when the main characters are sad? Then all a sudden the music just keeps swelling up with emotion, piano, violin, harmonies swoop in, setting everything in place and then dying down. Well it happened just like that. Rain was pouring on the day he fell sick, sad music was playing everywhere it seemed. It played in the hospital, it played in the car, and it even played in his house. No matter how much he wanted it to stop, it didn't. It just kept on swelling, pianos, violins, and harmonies playing non-stop.

His whole life he always thought he had it good, he had a mom that loved him and a big sister that watched out for him and sometimes saved him when he needed it. He went to a good school, had the bestest friends anyone could ever ask for. They were supportive and kept him happy throughout highschool. And now here he was, in an good College, his highschool friends still with him. He really did have it good.
His name is Jonathan Dennis, Delirious for his nickname. He was fairly short, being only 5'6 and a quarter (he got it from his mothers side of the family). Jon had a medium tan, just enough so that he didn't look like a ghost (as for his sister, being a ghost). His hair was midnight black, it was poofy and sticking up in random places (his friends loved to mess it up all the time and according to them, his hair was "hella" soft). Next were his eyes, he always saw them as wide (adorable as him mom would say) and sky blue. The kind of blue where it looked like you could dive in and fall into an ocean. He had full eyebrows with a slit through his right brow, in his opinion it made him badass.
Now on to his nose and lips, he was always told that he had the cutest button nose of all time and occasionally he would get "boops" randomly, his lips were plump (not too plump, the perfect amount). No one could miss out on his cute little chubby cheeks, they were freckled lightly and when he smiled, dimples would form (basically everyone tells him he was blessed with naturally good looks...). His body was pretty small, he was fit and had toned abs, he didn't have much bicep muscle since he never did weights, but let me tell you, he had some seriously thick thighs and a perfect ass to top it off. It was almost like he was made to be a girl, he wouldn't be surprised.
The day was normal as usual, he woke up, ate and got dressed into his normal attire (which consisted of an oversized blue hoodie, black skinny jeans and some blue vans to top it off). College gave no choice to dress fancy everyday. Some days you were fully energized and the next, you were just completely drained, walking around campus looking like a dead corpse. The thing was, nobody cares about how you look in College, all they care about is passing their classes and getting the hell out of there. That's what Jonathan's motives were, if he could just pass his classes and move on to work, he could be successful in his career choice. He was studying to be an assistant, hoping to be able to get into the biggest industry out there. It would pay well and finally he'd be able to help out his mom with her bills and even have enough to pay for his as well. It was the small steps that mattered and soon enough his dreams would come true.
"Jonathan?" He shook out of his haze and focused his eyes upon his professor. Her tall stature stood at her desk as she leaned her hand upon it's metallic framing. She was very lean, and had the longest brown hair he's ever seen, it flowing to her lower back. Her glasses rested upon the bride of her nose seemingly falling down more. She had her free hand grasping her hip as she stared up at Jonathan.
Jonathan stood from his seat and straightened his back. "Yes Miss White?" He questioned profoundly, hearing others turn their chairs slightly and close their books. She looked satisfied with his determined look and stern voice. He was clearly learning how to be a gentleman with his words and posture, just to be a perfect assistant. It was within her ambitions to make him a great candidate for such a position. With pride, she pushed herself off her desk and walked forwards, closer to the desks, her black heels the only noise within the packed classroom. Her knee length skirt was perking up as she walked, a white button up was tucked beneath that black skirt (and to make it look professional) a black blazer topped it off.
"Which chemical element has the shortest name?" Miss White asked as she halted to a stop, she had her full on attention on Jonathan who only gave her a confused look. Just as she thought she tricked him, he chuckled and smiled, eyes burning with determination.
"What kind of question is that, Miss White?" He quizzed, then with one last snicker he spoke once more, "It's obviously tin." Jonathan sat at his desk, breaking all the tension in the room. Miss White smirked and nodded, turning around and walking slowly to her desk. She was very satisfied now, it seemed everyday he blew her mind. He had to have been the smartest kid in the school. Everyday she always calls his name and asks him a hard question, no matter what, he's always answered correctly.
"Very good Jonathan." She replied, plopping down in her chair. "Very good." This time it was whispered under her breath.
"Okay anyways, that's your homework for tonight, turn it into the basket first thing! That's all, have a great day guys!"

"Jon!" Carly called out, waving her hand down the hallway. He smiled and waited for her to come running into his open arms. They wrapped their arms around each other, feeling their warm embrace. Jon felt tall when he was with her, Carly was only 5'3, losing to Jonathan by only 3 inches. He always teased her for that.
They let go of their hug and started to walk side by side down the almost empty hallway, only a handful of other student's were left. College wasn't like highschool at all, sometimes you didn't have class at all, and other days you'd have at most 3 classes. On that day, Jon only had 2. "How can you deal with her?" Carly asked abruptly, pulling Jonathan back into their conversation. He turned his head and saw his Professor speed walk down into another hallway before vanishing. Shrugging he turned to face Carly, who was looking up at him.
"Aww come on, she's not that bad." Jon sarcastically said to her, pushing on her shoulder. Carly giggled and wavered to the side by his impact, a light blush was spread out on her cheeks. To be completely honest, she wasn't a bad looking girl at all, Carly was actually really pretty. She had short brown hair that went a bit past her chin, and to match her hair she had golden brown eyes, that sometimes turned a hazel brown. In the summer, small freckles began to grow upon her flushed cheeks, and during winter they went away, leaving her with perfect skin. And not to brag, but she had some really good fashion. She was wearing a fuzzy brown jacket that was zipped open to reveal a white tank top that was cropped above her belly button, she had on a brown corduroy skirt that was just above her knees, lastly she wore black booties.
"I feel like she picks on you because you're the smartest." Carly responded. Jon rolled his eyes and pressed his had on her shoulder, looking deep within her eyes. For some reason, she was blushing madly.
"I'm definitely not the smartest person here." Jon recalled, feeling the urge to let out a bright smile. "If I was then this school is pretty dumb." He smiled and dropped his hand off her shoulder. After that Carly started to laugh at his joke, earning chuckles from Jon himself. With giddy she latched herself onto Jon's arm, and rested her cheek upon it, looking up into his eyes.
The two of them have been friends since the beginning of highschool, they met in class when they were assigned a project together, from then they hit it off. They would do literally everything together, watch movies, go to the fair, have sleepovers, and pig out to food. Their friendship was the best thing to ever happen in their lives. Every time they spent time together, it was always so fun. Neither of them would ever want to let that go. But in that moment, something had changed in Carly. At first she thought something was wrong with her heart, but now it was clear. She was falling for him, hard.
"Hey, wanna pig out to chinese tonight? Hulu just released a new season to our shoooww!!" Carly begged at his grasp. Smiling down at her, he nodded his head.
"Of course! That sounds like fun, I'll bring my heated blanket and maybe we could try eating with chopsticks." Jonathan suggested. This made Carly laugh.
"Chopsticks huh? Sounds like a disaster waiting to happen. But sure!" Jon smiled at her answer and stopped walking.
"Well, my car is this way." Carly let go of his arm and looked around confused for a moment. She was too caught up in the moment that she didn't even realize they were outside. Frowning they said their goodbyes and parted ways, excited for that night to come.
