Chapter 18, Marty Comes Home
Nova's POV

Today we would find out if Marty could come home! I was so happy he was going to be able to do that! For awhile I was scared we were going to lose him. I could not bare that! But things were looking up at long last!

I bring a bag to the hospital to carrying home all his get well flowers and cards that fans had sent in. There were so many gifts for him. They loved him just as much as I do!

But I knew I loved him more! I get there the same time my brothers did. Marty wasn't waiting laying in his hospital bed. He was in the bathroom taking a shower.

"Did they say if he gets to go home today?" I ask Gabe.

"Yes, he's getting ready as they get his discharge paperwork now" my brother informed me.

"Wonderful news!" I excitedly say with happiness flowing in me

"But, he should have a night in and he should not be running out on the town. That's your job sis. We don't want him to get to where he has to be taken back to the hospital" warns Ariel sternly to me.

I knew what he was saying was right. Though it would be fun to go out on a date with Marty. We could have a romantic dinner inside at home. I just had to talk Marty into that one!

"You are right I will keep my word to get Marty to rest" I sigh.

Marty soon comes out wearing normal clean clothing no hospital gown. No wires attached to his arms. I rushed to his side to hold him close and I kiss him. Greeting him hello.

"I see you heard the good news?" Marty questions me. I nodded yes then grin.

"The best news I have heard in ages!! I can't wait to get you home" I say with a smile.

"We have to talk about where to go on our first date. Where would you like to go tonight?" wonders Marty. "You're wish is my command"

My brothers give me the side eye as if to say you better stick with what you said. Tell him now. I knew they were right. I didn't want Marty to end up back in the hospital here.

"What, what did I say?" Marty demanded to know.

"Maybe we could enjoy a night at home. It's just we all don't want you to relapse and end up back here" I say softly. "You do understand right?"

"Guess you are right yes. Fine a night in we will enjoy together" he agrees.

"We have so much time later to go out together! We will" I promise him. I lean in kissing him.

Soon we are packing up his things there in the room. My brothers carry them out to the car. The nurse comes in to tell Marty he is free to go home now. They were all sad to see him go. I can't blame them for that!

My brothers have the car waiting for us as we make our way through crowds that came to see Marty leaving the hospital. They were all in great spirits and thrilled he was leaving to. We soon hop on in my brothers car then head on home.

Back to our hotel we had been staying at anyway. Marty was already getting tired walking around so I let him lean on me. We made it to our suite there. I help Marty get into his pjs and rest on the bed.

My brothers get us food for that lunch hour came fast. Marty would be famished by the time he woke from his nap. Plus, the hospital ordered meds to be filled for Marty so my brothers went to the pharmacy to get that for him as well.

I soon am resting on the bed as Marty sleeps waiting for my brothers to come back. I am watching General Hospital on tv. It felt so good to have Marty beside me in bed. Snoring away. He was so adorable when he was sleeping beside me.

My brothers come in at last. The grabbed Panda Express for us and gotten the meds just fine. They hugged me goodbye but not without reminding me that Marty needed his rest.

I saw that first hand when he was only coming here from the hospital. Marty definitely needed his rest. That was clear to me. I set up the food and plates on the table there in our room.

Put our drinks in the mini fridge to keep them cold. Got his meds ready for him so he would not end up in deep pain when he woke up. Made sure everything was perfect there for my Marty!

I hear Marty yawning and waking up at last!

"Hey, baby how did you sleep? Are you hurting? We got your meds ready for you plus food is too! Panda Express yummy!" I tell him as I rush over to be by his side there. He hugs me then I give him a peck on the lips.

"I am sorry now. I better eat before I take medicine I think" he groans softly. I help him walk to the table to sit there and eat with me. "Everything looks much better than hospital food" he says happily. I nod in agreement with that.

I get his meds out and cold sodas are ready on the table too! I sit across from him at the table. We begin to chat away and enjoy our food together. It may not be a perfect date night but I was having a good time. I hoped he would not be to hard on himself over having the perfect date.

"I just ate and sat here so how am I so tired already?" he complained.

"Marty, you nearly died to save my life! It will take time for you to heal up. And you will be better in no time. You will make more beautiful music and we can travel the world together!" I gently remind him.

He finally smiles. He takes my hand then kisses the top of it. I blush with pleasure. He hands me my fortune cookie.

"Open it. Let's read what ours says" he demanded. I nod. I crack mine open. Then pull out my tiny piece of paper.

"Mine says love will find a way in" I tell him with a smile.

He grins at me then he cracks his open and pulls out the tiny piece of paper to read it. "Mine says love has been here all along"

Happy tears come to me.

"How true is that?" I sigh with a smile.

He agrees then gets up from his chair comes to my side and kisses me. Love had been here all along.

That was the truth!
