A few days later, Lisa was awoken by a constant ringing next to her ear, interrupting her little dream. Sunlight streamed through the windows and Lisa sluggishyly stretched her limbs, slowly adjusting to the bright light.

Blindly grabbing her phone from the nightstand, she quickly read the text messages.

Manager

Lisa, you have something scheduled today.

Me

I do?

I didn't know.

Manager

Go to the main building.

I left you something at the counter.

Me

I'm too lazy to walk. :(

Manager

Go and get it, Lisa.

Shrugging, Lisa dismissed her order and continued to scroll through her phone, ignoring her prompts. It was way too early for this.

Manager

NOW

Lisa

Ok, ok

She sighed loudly but took off, to the main building, after a quick glass of milk and water. She greeted people as they walk past, but kept conversation to a minimum, having been urged by the manager to be extra-quick on her feet. Lisa finally reached the counter, waving to the middle-aged lady behind it. She, Lora was her name, had been working here when Lisa had first step foot in YG entertainment. It was an understatement, saying they were close.

'Good morning, Laura,' she greeted, politely bowing at the elder.

'Morning? I'm about to be off for lunch!' Laura exclaimed, earning a chuckle from Lisa.

'Manager Yoora says she left something here for me?'

Lora rummaged through one of her desk drawers and pulled out a thick brown envelope, handing it to Lisa. Bidding goodbye, Lisa made her way back to her dorm, wondering to herself why the envelope was given to her.

***

The door slammed shut behind her and Lisa kicked off her shoes, walking to the living room and tossing the envelope onto the couch.

Eh, I'll read later.

Procrastination at its finest.

'Lisa?' Jisoo called from the kitchen. 'Where did you go?'

'Manager Yoora told me to get something from the main building. She says I have to-'

'Speaking of our manager, she called me yesterday,' Jisoo interrupted, cutting Lisa off. 'She says you have something to do tomorrow.'

'For?'

'I'm not sure. But I know it's got to do with you. ...And him. And something about leaked pictures. But that doesn't make sense, since you guys have never been anywhere together, so there's nothin-'

Lisa held a finger up signaling for her to wait. Quickly leaving the room, she eyed the brown envelope suspiciously.

'You think it's got something to do with this?' Lisa held up the package.

Jisoo approached it, examining carefully. 'What's that?'

Lisa's breath shook as she tested the brown paper open, revealing a thin sheet. She cleared her throat and then began reading the text out loud, to the eager ears of her fellow member.

To: Lisa of BLACKPINK

We, the public relations team, are now going to call in our contract. You are requested to be present for an event that has been prepared to feed the press.

EVENT: Picnic Date

Everything else will be prepared by the team and all you are requested to do is to be ready and waiting at the main building by 11:00. Your outfit has been prepared by the team.

You will receive further information at the main office.

Signed,
The Public Relations Team

'11:00 o'clock?' Lisa exclaimed in distraught, checking the clock for the time. 'It's 10:40 now, I have 20 minutes!'

'Don't panic, breathe, Lisa,' Jisoo soothed, sensing her obvious distress 'Now, I'll tell the others, you go get dressed. JENNIE, CHAENG!'

Lisa felt her heart pound in its cage, her breath becoming shallower by the moment, a headache starting to form at her temple. The sound of feet on the floorboard echoed above her head as the other members came scrambling down at the elder's call.

'What happened?' Jennie asked, a hint of of worry in her voice. In a rush, Lisa thrust the letter into her hands and dashed to her room to change.

She sank to the floor as the door closed shut behind her, head in her hands.

Breathe, Lisa, breathe.

She wasn't ready for this. She wasn't ready to lie to her family, her friends, for her first ever boyfriend to be an act, wasn't ready to pretend.

I'm not ready to be called a liar.

Lisa fought back the tears threatening to spill behind her eyelids as the realisation of everything she had to do, the burden of it all, fell back onto her shoulder.

But she would do it.

If dating Jimin would reduce the hate her group received, or at least give them a tiny boost of popularity for the success of BLACKPINK, Lisa would do it. For her friends, her sisters, for BLACKPINK, She would do it. She had to.

Her resolve forming, Lisa balled her hands into fists, getting up from the floor.

You are not weak, Lisa.

She quickly washed her face, put her hair into two blonde braids, reapplied a light layer of makeup and went back downstairs.

When they realised she was back, the girls quickly stood up and each gave her a hug.

It was Rose's turn when she spoke into Lisa's ear amidst the hug.

'Are you sure? We could try convincing YG to change his mind together,' she sounded so convinced, mumbling into Lisa's shoulder.

'I'll be fine, Rosie,' Lisa forced a smile onto her face, pulling back from the hug.

'Bye, guys.'

The clock read 10:55 when she finally left.

Jimin's sleep disturbed by pounding on his door and loud yells from outside, he grumbled at his members, getting up grudgingly to open the door.

'Jimin, get your ass up!' their leader ordered. 'You have things to do and places to be.'

'What?' Jimin snapped. 'I don't have anything scheduled today.' He turned on the balls of his feet, heading back to bed. 'I'm going back to sleep.'

Just as his head hit the pillow, he was pulled back from his slumber. Jungkook rolled Jimin off his head causing him to tumble onto the floor.

'oW!'

'You do have something scheduled,' Jungkook stated, a strange smile one his face. Jimin mumbled whatever from within his bundle of blankets on the floor. 'In fact, you have a date. With the devil herself.'

That earned him a smack across the back of his head by Namjoon and Jimin's head snapped up, suddenly awake.

'What.'

'Don't call her that,' Namjoon was still scolding Jungkook and Jimin groaned, frustrated at the lack of information. Namjoon turned his attention to the boy on the floor.

'Manager Sungwoo called. You have to be at the YG main office by 11:00, sharp.'

'Today? Seriously?' He stuffed his head back into his pillow, his high pitched scream muffled by the soft cotton and feathers.

Jungkook was biting his fist in amusement.

'You find this funny, huh?' Jimin threw his pillow at the laughing boy, who dodged it effortlessly.

Jungkook shrugged. 'This whole fiasco with those girls is just so funny.'

Jimin glared at him. 'You're not the one going on a date with one of 'em. Of course, you find it funny.'

'Whatever.' Jungkook picked up the fallen pillow and threw it back onto the bed. 'You better treat her right,' he added with a wink before exiting the room, Namjoon right behind him.

Jimin snorted aloud. If by right, he meant 'treat her like shit', which Jimin was sure was exactly what he meant, it was advice Jimin didn't plan on ignoring.

Namjoon was throwing worried glances between the two.

'You two better not be planning anything,' he warned. 'You don't need those girls hating you more than now.'

'Sure,' Jimin said. Namjoon gave him a sceptical look.

'Just- get ready,' he finally said, before leaving too.

***

At 11 o'clock precisely, Jimin strutted through the automatic glass doors of the YG Entertainment building, careful to follow his orders.

Dress down, look like you don't want to be caught. But don't wear disguises too thick, you have to make sure you can be recognised.

Those were his exact words, when Jimin had spoken to his manager hours before. So now here he stood like a lost boy, inside the building by the front entrance, alone. Shuffling uncomfortably on his feet, he felt curious gazes shifting onto him, making him unconsciously pull his cap a little bit lower on his face.

Right as he took a seat at the corner of the seating area, the automatic doors reopened, and bringing with it a gust of wind, a girl in braids, a blue sweater and white shorts, slowly walking in. Doing a double take, Jimin took her in, again.

She wasn't ugly, he gave her that. But that was no excuse for her attitude.

Lisa paused by the door, where Jimin stood only moments ago, slowly scanning the floor for signs of who-knows-what. When her eyes finally traced the space Jimin was in, he noticed her carefully avoiding his presence, skirting around the seating area, and quickly making her way to a grey door, obviously labelled as the staff room in a bold red, at a different end of the room, leaning against the wall beside it. Jimin eyed her figure, a foul look on his face.

This is really happening, huh?

As if sensing his thoughts, her head whipped up, eyes on Jimin's. There was an emotion he couldn't quite comprehend, a sense of dark, bitter amusement, visible in her eyes that made Jimin just the slightest bit curious as to what was going inside that brain of hers. Even from a distance, the tension between the two felt like a hand slowly suffocating them both.

Jimin soon discovered he had held eye contact with the girl for longer than he had intended. Quickly averting his eyes to the door, he snapped up from his seat when the staff room opened, revealing a man in his thirty's, dressed in a crisp white button up and dark pants, a card dangling on a blue strap around his neck. The man noticed Lisa standing beside the door, exchanging a few words that Jimin couldn't read in which Lisa grimly nodded to. He quickly realised who they were talking about when she pointed in his direction, and then brushed past the man into the room without so much as a glance back.

The staff cocked his head, looking Jimin up and down in a way that made him shift uncomfortably on his feet, and then signaled a hand, gesturing for Jimin. Scowling at the way he was being treated, Jimin reluctantly followed the man, who stepped sideways, allowing him into the room. The staff closed the door gently behind Jimin, who found himself standing at the edge of a dimly lit room, with a few light bulbs lighting the very few table present in the room.

Having been directed to a large rectangular glass table, similarly lit by a white light, Jimin promptly took a seat at one end, eyes darting around the room, trying to get a sense of his surroundings.

'..So this is okay, then?' Jimin's neck snapped towards the source of the sound which turned out to be the familiar figure of Lisa, towering over a shorter lady, hands gesturing to her clothes.

'Yes, that's fine,' the shorter woman approved. 'Now go, take a seat. Your boyfriend is waiting.'

Jimin internally cringed at the sound of the words leaving her lips, Lisa visibly wincing, lips forming a frown, earning an eye roll from the staff.

'Get used to it, young lady,' she scolded Lisa, who still had a weird look on her face. 'You're going to hear a lot more where that came from.' She turned to give Jimin, who now sunk lower into his seat, a look. 'You too, young man.'

Jimin slowly nodded limply. He felt a lot less significant without his members around.

I better get used to it, shan't I? They won't be tagging along on these dates. Unless Jungko-

He was brought out of his thoughts by small scraping sounds of metal on wood, when chairs were pulled back and two people took their seats, one being Lisa who carefully avoided his eyes and the other, the man from before.

'The two of you are an interesting pair,' the man commented, looking between them. Jimin continued blocking out his words. 'Sung Min is my name. I'll be leading the managing of your relationship.' He pulled out two black chip from the package he was handling. 'Put these on you,' he paused, handing out the chips to Lisa and Jimin, who held it tenderly. Jimin eyed the small piece suspiciously, looking at the man with curiosity. 'They won't hurt you. It'll just allow us to track where you are so we can tell you what to do,' he paused again, his brows furrowed in thought. 'Sometimes. Usually, you will have to think of what to do on your own. Our orders will be pretty vague.' Jimin stared blankly in confusion. 'Just- put them on.'

Complying reluctantly, the pair sluggishyly placed the chips onto themselves, keeping it safely hidden. Jimin still held it with ultimate care, not wishing to get on the bad side of his newly-met manager on his first day, although not releasing his fear of the chip being programmed to do things he wasn't told of.

That stuff only happens in the movie doesn't it?

'You're going to be tracking us?' Lisa said quietly, not sounding very happy about it. Jimin quietly observed her from his side of the table.

'Oh, don't worry, this won't be on when you are off the job. We'll only track you when you're supposed to be together,' Manager Sung Min said. Jimin sighed in relief. 'You can take it off when you're not together. As long as you always have it on when you're on dates.'

Jimin cringed again at the mention of dates, Lisa doing the same. Sung Min breathed a sigh of frustration.

'Listen, you two. No one, besides the people in this room, your members and the CEOs know of this whole ordeal. So if we're going to make this work, you're going to have to act like it. You've been in relationships before, you both know how it works.'

Jimin snorted internally, glancing at the girl in front of him.

'I will be texting you what to do when you're on your date. Think of this as a get-to-know time. Maybe after this, you'll at least know each other better, that I don't have to tell you what to do every few minutes.'

The pair both nodded in understanding.

'Since we've leaked information to the press, there will be a lot of paparazzi and cameras around, trying to get a good picture of you two. Remember to never drop the act. NEVER, no matter the circumstances, because you two are dating. Don't leave each other's sides, and hold hands if you have to,' Jimin took a glance at Lisa's hands that were clenched on the table, which she quickly pulled back and onto her lap. 'Never drop the act, got it?'

Jimin gulped and nodded.

'Great. A car is waiting for you outside, with all the picnic things. Jimin, you can drive, I assume?'

'Yes,' he answered. It had been a while since Jimin last sat behind the steering wheel and he hoped his skills were not rusty enough to get anyone killed today.

'Good, you're all set. I'll text you the location.'

***

The car, Jimin discovered, was a shiny black sports car, sitting by itself at the far end of the staff parking lot. He hastily unlocked the car and got in, hands gliding on the leather covering on the steering wheel, then jumped out of his wits when the passenger door opened with a loud snap. That is, until a scowling blond appeared and took her seat in the car. Jimin paused in his seat, quickly remembering his purpose.

'Forgotten me already?' the girl next to him mumbled as she slided the seat belt across her thin body. Jimin ignored her, knowing his self control could only go so far, and that the day would go by much more smoothly if he did not provoke her. Buckling his seat belt, Jimin made himself comfortable in his seat, tapping a random beat on the steering wheel.

'Drive?' Lisa questioned after several minutes of awkward silence.

'Right.'

Jimin's hand stayed still on the steering wheel, being distracted once again by his thoughts.

'Can you drive?' Lisa asked again, sounding irritated, sitting up in her seat and turning her body to look at him.

'Yes,' Jimin snapped. 'Stay quiet, will you?' Lisa rolled her eyes at his response.

'Sure, you can,' she muttered to herself. Jimin sent her a glare and then slammed his foot down on the gas; Lisa fell back into her seat, a high scream cutting through the atmosphere in the car and Lisa's fingers latched onto his forearm that was gripping the steering wheel.

When he'd finally slowed down on the motorway, Lisa quickly released her hand, closing her lips, blushing furiously and Jimin smirked, examining the red marks on his skin. 'That was strong. Wanna know what else those fingers can grip-'

'Shut the hell up.' She growled and flicked him off, not turning her head from the window.

Jimin 1 Lisa 0

He laughed at his own thoughts and shook his head. At least he was winning.

So much for self control.
