Chapter Twelve
Juliann stood with nerves as she waited.
Would he yell at her for not being in his bed when he woke up?
Would he act cold like yesterday after he carelessly treated her when he was done?
The door opened, startling Juliann.
She took noticed of him in his relaxed casual attire, with his salt and pepper hair brushed back neatly.
Christoffer smiled at her "Aren't you beautiful." He took her beauty in. The way her maxi dress fall over her curves and the way her blonde hair was loosely pulled into a braid.
He reached out his hand "Ready?"
"For?" The word slipped out as she stepped back.
Christoffer stepped forward as he closed the apartment door behind him "Breakfast. Just you and I." He reached his hand out again.
It was almost as if nothing had happened last night.
Juliann placed her hand into his "I'd like that."
The way his fingers intertwined with her's sent her knees weak, she allowed him to lead her towards the elevator.
Silence filled between the two of them as they waited.
Juliann wasn't sure if she should bring up last night or leave it. She allowed her nerves to get the better of her as she stayed quiet.
They stepped into the elevator in silence, she allowed herself to relax against the wall of the elevator as Christoffer pressed the down button.
Christoffer allowed himself to stand close to her and slide his arm around her waist.
Juliann smiled a little as she carefully rested her head on his shoulder.
This is what she wanted, she wanted wholesome moments with Christoffer Jessen. She didn't care for sex, sex was good, but she didn't care for it. She wanted to be with him, not with him.
Christoffer kissed the top of her head as they felt the elevator stop, the two of them watched as the doors slide open and as a male adult carrying a baby in his arms stepped into the elevator.
The man pressed the closed doors before carefully holding his baby in his arms.
"Juliann, I'm sorry about last night." Christoffer whispered.
Juliann looked up at him.
"Yesterday was just quite stressful on set." He kept his excuse quite short.
Juliann fell for the oldest trick in the book as she spoke "It's fine." She dropped her gaze to the elevator doors as they opened again, this time on the ground floor.
Christoffer and Juliann allowed the man and the baby to walk out first before them, Christoffer and Juliann made their way towards the hotel restaurant.
