I looked at my stats with a satisfied smile in my face, while lying outside. I'm glad to discover that I changed most my skills that continuously drain my [MP] into techniques that have different [MP cost].

I closed the window to stare at the star filled night sky. I can never see this type of view in my house, as the lights of the town always get in the way, but now I can see this scene on its full glory and I can't help but be mesmerised by it...

Something so simple, yet so beautiful at the same time... It made me regret not cherishing the simple things in my previous life-

I blinked when I felt a familiar presence nearby before looking up (in my position) to see Hyōdō in a pair of shorts and a t-shirt. I thought that everybody else already went to sleep... And how come I didn't noticed her aura until she's a few feet away from me?

"What are you doing here?" I asked while standing from my position "Shouldn't you be asleep by now?"

"I should asking the same to you." Hyōdō countered with a small smile on her face... I don't know why but I can't stop myself from smiling a bit as well for some reason, it's very confusing "I couldn't sleep properly, so I got up to get a glass of water and then some fresh air when realised that I didn't felt your presence nearby, so I chased you down."

I raised an eyebrow, not expecting her to familiar with my aura already and located me with it... This girl is no doubt going to be very powerful in the future, even if she has no capabilities to use demonic energy properly.

"So... What are you doing here?"

"Just enjoying the simple things in life." I answered while looking back up to the starry night sky "We have a day left before the battle with the man slut and his girls, so I'm just looking at this view before we leave."

"I see... I didn't realised how pretty the night sky is until now." Hyōdō commented as I noticed that she stood beside me.

I looked back at Hyōdō, who's smiling with her eyes closed, in mild surprise as she thanked me from out of no where and I'm not sure why she did that at all. So I did the most common thing to do "For what?"

"For a lot of thing!" Hyōdō said before holding out her fingers "Helping me discover the [Boosted Gear] and training with it, giving me advise on some techniques, making me stronger than before, doing contracts with me..."

She continued on while I looked at her with observing eyes... I didn't expect to have such an impact in her time as a Devil, especially since we became Devils a few days apart... It makes me would on what if I was killed by someone, will she try to avenge me?

...I don't want her to be emotionally depend on me, as she'll loose her mind if I die. I better do something now than later "Hyōdō." I called out to the girl, making her stop the list of things that I've done for her.

"Yeah?"

"I'm not the only person that made you strong." I stated, as I remembered the other kinds of training she did with the others "Tōjō gave you tips in fighting with your fists, Leone taught you a few ways of hunting down prey/enemies, Gremory pushed you to-"

I was silenced when Hyōdō placed a finger on my lips, making me look at her smiling face "You don't need to say those things... I already know about them but those things doesn't stop the fact that you were my greatest helper, and nobody else."

"..." I didn't know what to say to counter that, since it's true. Nobody else helped her more than I did with her life as a Devil, not even Gremory and she's a Pure Blood Devil.

"So come on!" She suddenly declared before dragging me towards the mansion "Its time to get some rest for tomorrow's training!"

I let out a sigh but I didn't stopped her as she's right-

I blinked when another familiar presence at the living room, someone was the last person that I would expect to be awake at this time right now and she made herself known when we entered the living room.

"Ara? You 2 are awake?" Hyōdō jumped until she recognized the voice as Rias Gremory. I looked over to the living room to see the red head sitting at the table, wearing red negligee along with glasses and had her hair tied back.

"Sorry if we interrupted your reading, Gremory."

She shook her head, smiling slightly "No. It's good timing actually. Let's talk for a bit."

Hyōdō looked at me, no doubt wondering what my answer will be. I just shrugged, before taking 1 of the chairs near the table and Hyōdō did the same as well...

"Do you have bad eyesight, Buchou?" Hyōdō asked curious. Devils have night vision, so she might wear glasses just for show.

"Oh this? It's just for looks. I can think more clearly while having my glasses on. Fufufu, this is the proof that I have been in the human's world for so long." Gremory replied with a chuckle while I turned my gaze onto the table which was covered in loads of paper... Even though it was so late, she was still up trying to figure out how to defeat Riser and his Peerage, I can respect that.

Gremory closed the notebook full of strategies that she had been reading with a sigh "...To be honest, the only thing I'll get by reading this is a peace of mind."

"Why is that?" Hyōdō asked in confusion

"If the opponent is another High-class Devil, then we could fight by reading this." Gremory explained "This book is written with lots of research. But that isn't the problem."

"Is it the power of the Phenex clan itself?" I asked with a knowing look, as it didn't take a genius to figure out part. I already have an idea with their healing factor, it's the reason why they're 'immortal'.

Gremory seemed surprised.

"Y-yes."

"I'm guessing that their name is Phenex for a reason." I said "They must be like the actual 'Phoenix', the mythical beast. The immortal bird. So they have top-notch healing factors, correct?"

Gremory nodded, apparently unhappy about the fact "Even if you attack them, their wounds will heal right away. Their flames won't even leave a bone left. Eight wins and two losses. This is the record that Riser has at the official [Rating Game]. He fought ten times and won eight matches. He lost 2 of the match on purpose as kindness to one of the households he is close to. In reality he won all of his matches. He already became a candidate to obtain a title in the official game."

"Then only way to beat Phenex is making him loose his sanity." I stated, catching the 2 girls off guard "It's logical, as healing factors doesn't actually help a person's mentality... So if we break him, than he'll truly fall."

"Yes. That is one of the 2 ways we can beat him." Gremory said "Even if his body is immortal where he can resurrect his body many times, his mind isn't immortal. His mind will definitely tire out every time we defeat him. It's our win if we completely crush the Phoenix's mind. Then he will stop resurrecting and he will fall. Well, the easiest way is to defeat him with a power that is on par with God that crushes him down with a single strike which takes down both his body and mind."

"Well, one God-killing power right here." Hyōdō said while holding out her left arm with a grin "So we're all set!"

"Yes... If you could hold enough power then you could take down Riser no problem with [Boosted Gear]."

"Gremory..." I started, deciding to ask the question that was bugging me given what he knew.

"What is it?"

"Why are you against the marriage? Given your family's problems?"

"...I'm a Gremory."

"So... It's because it's what you're family wants?"

"No, the Gremory name will follow me to wherever."

"Do you hate it?"

"I'm proud of it. But it's also something that is a burden to me. Everyone looks at me as Rias from the Gremory. They don't look at me as 'Rias'. That's why I'm enjoying my life in the human world." Gremory answered with a distant look along in her very sad eyes as she tells her story "They don't know that I'm a Devil from the Gremory. Everyone looks at me as Rias. I really like that feeling. I never felt something like that in the Devils' society, and I never will. The only time I feel like myself is when I'm in the human world."

So she's just like Naruto, someone who wants to be seen as who they are and not what they are. I guess I can understand why I'm don't really like Gremory that much, our ideologies clash with each other... I'm someone that doesn't like to standout and never enjoy being in the centre of attention, while Gremory wants others to see her as Rias and that's why she's trying her best to standout with her own 2 feet.

And her possessiveness doesn't help in me liking her as well.

"I want to be with someone who will love me as Rias without the fact that I'm a Gremory. That's my small dream I have... Unfortunately, Riser only looks at me as Rias from the Gremory. And he loves me as Rias from the Gremory. That's why I hate it. But still, the pride of being a Gremory is very important. My feelings may be complicated, but I want to cherish this small dream I have."

"If it helps... I like you for the person you are not cause of some title..." Hyōdō said to Gremory, who smiled brightly at the brunette before the girls turned towards me. I guess that they want to hear my words as well.

"I'll be honest with you, I didn't like you at first and I still don't like you." I replied while I crossed my arms "I found it shady on why you resurrected a simple person like me, making me cautious around you most of the time and it doesn't help that you broke into my house. Twice."

"I see..." Gremory muttered up with a said smile, I guess that she felt hurt that I saw her as someone dark and have hidden motives for everyone.

I stood up from my sit and faced Gremory "...But Kaichou advised me to at least try to understand you, so my thoughts about you might change in future." Was all I said before leaving to get some sleep.

- the next day -

I stood patiently a few feet across from Leone, smiling to myself at the up coming battle we're going to have right in a few minutes. Everyone is surprised by my battle hungry smile. I had been a bit of a stick in the mud the past several days, as I didn't anyone else but Leone to be a challenge.

"You ready Leone?" I asked while casually entering my [Hyper Dying Will Mode]. While this might be a sparring match, that doesn't mean that I can't be careless when fighting against Leone.

Leone just grinned before going into all four while the white lion shaped aura started to surround her "Ready when you are boss!"

I took that as the signal to start, so I instantly used [Rapid Movement] to appeared before Leone and attacked her with [Renewal Front Kick]. My partner quickly dodged the kick and the shockwave that always follows after the attack, before she went towards a claw strike.

I evaded the attack by using [Rapid Movement] to appear behind Leone before striking back with a [Sky Kick] but she was able to evaded it *crash!* as the kicked hit the ground and destroyed it-

!?

I quickly crossed my arms in front of me when I realised that Leone sent a fast kick towards me and I have no time to dodge as I felt the attack hits *smack!*

[-66HP]

I felt my body fly into the air from the force of her attack, and it still hurts like a bitch, *thud!* before rolling around the ground but I quickly right myself and evaded Leone's punch, *crash!* which obviously smashed the ground to pieces.

I struck back with an [Arang], using the shockwave to push her back before using [Rapid Movement] to appear I front of her and then following it up with [Northern Style Front Kick] at Leone's chest, sending her away.

...At least the recoil damage isn't so big like last time.

I saw Leone landed in all 4 again before she faced towards with a grin on her face, "Nice kick boss! But it's not as strong as the kick you used to break my arms!" She roared before she suddenly disappeared and reappeared in my left before disappearing as quickly as she reappears...

She doesn't know how to use magic, so this is no doubt all from her superior physical stats. I closed my eyes and concentrated on my surroundings, as my eyes aren't trained to keep track of anything moving so fast like Leone.

My eyes shot open when I realised where Leone is right now.

Out off instinct, I accidentally did the [Jin Tae-Jin Original, Sonic Punch] and I nearly hit Leone. My partner stared at me with wide eyes, I can see surprise and a hint of fear in them... I would be too, if an attack that could kill me just missed so dangerously close to me.

"I-I guess that I lost, boss."

Leone moved away from me before letting out a happy smirk "You've seriously gotten stronger than the last time we fought! And I can't help but get a bit turned on by your strength~." She admitted as her smirk turn a bit flirty before she moved away.

I looked at her for a bit before shaking my head... I'll deal with THAT in a later date.

"Ara, I never thought you were this strong Kōjiro-kun." Himejima-san stated in amazing as I walked towards the others.

"I'm astonished. I thought that I'm the fastest, but I guess that Kōjiro-kun and Leone-san beat me without a problem." Kiba admitted with a smile but I can see that drive to become stronger in her eyes.

"That fight was incredible, Raiga-san!"

"...Super."

I nodded at all the compliments, before noticing the excited looking Hyōdō... I can feel that she's much stronger than before for some reason... And her aura is a bit different, more wild to be precise "I supposed that someone else wants to show off."

"Yep!" Hyōdō said before marching towards the open area. Everyone other than me were surprised by her sudden increase in confidence, as I have a stinking suspicion on why she's confident.

"I'll be her opponent." Kiba said before moving forward with a bokken in her hands.

"No holding back against me, Kiba!"

Kiba scanned her expression, probably trying to find out why she's so energetic all of a sudden. Eventually she smiled "I'll do my best."

"Lets go, [Boosted Gear]!"

[Dragon Booster!]

After hearing the announcement, a flash of light occurred from Hyōdō's left arm before dying down as the red dragonic gauntlet appeared.

"Start!" I declared, surprising the others of my sudden announcement but Kiba recovered quickly and charged at Hyōdō.

"[Boost!]" Hyōdō declared as her gauntlet mimicked her command, her power doubling in an instant, before she blocked Kiba's strike. Hyōdō tried to punch Kiba, but the blondie just dodged the attack.

10 seconds is up...

[Boost!]

With the increase of her power, Hyōdō was able to move fast enough to dodge Kiba's attack and appear behind the blondie. While everyone else, other than Leone, would have been surprised by her speed but I can see it as clear as day.

"...Fast" Tōjō said, surprised by Hyōdō's speed.

"How can she move that fast? She didn't promote herself to [Knight]." Gremory said, sharing the same expression as Tōjō.

[Boost!]

There's no doubt that doubling her power is a great game changer, but how much power can she handle before breaking down? They continued on with the spar, with Hyōdō being able to do 15 [Boosts] even getting [Boosted Gear] not too long ago... Her potential is truly terrifying, but I also got the feeling that the [Welsh Dragon] has something to do with her sudden growth overnight.

I saw Hyōdō create a pebble sized demonic sphere in front of her gauntlet... I got this feeling that something familiar is going to happen "[Dragon Shot]!"

[GUOOOOOOOOOO!!!]

The initially tiny ball of power grew and expanded to the size of a giant boulder after Hyōdō shot it. The blast approached Kiba at an incredibly fast rate. Even I was surprised by the attack's speed myself.

Despite its speed, it was still too slow to hit Kiba, who dodged out of the way easily. Even though the attack missed, it kept on going until it hit the next mountain over.

[BOOOOMMM!!!]

The resulting mountain-destroying explosion could've been heard for miles.

[Burst!]

I noticed that Hyōdō's power went back to before she fell on her ass. So that announcement means she must have reached her limit from her built up [Boosts]... She needs to use it carefully form now on.

"The spar is over." I declared, see that 1 of the combatants already tired. And I noticed that Kiba's wooden sword chose to snap in half, rendering it useless.

Kiba put her broken wooden sword down as Hyōdō sighed before dismissing her [Sacred Gear] as Gremory came over to them "Good job you 2. Now I will hear your impression, Yumi. How was it?" Gremory spoke up,

Kiba taking a few moments before answering "Yes. To tell the truth I'm astonished. I tried to finish the spar with the first strike... But I couldn't break through Hyōdō-san's guard. I was focused into breaking through it. I also tried to knock her down in my second strike by hitting her head from above the air, but that failed as well. Hahahaha."

Kiba held out her broken sword "I strengthened the bokken with demonic-power, but it couldn't give that much damage to Hyōdō-san because her body was too hard and well-protected. If we continued, I would only have the option to run around because I wouldn't have my weapon."

"Thank you, Yumi." Gremory said to Kiba before turning to Hyōdō, smiling "That's how it is, Ichigo."

"Thanks, Buchou."

"Did the dragon inside your [Sacred Gear] contacted you last night, Hyōdō?" I asked, gaining everybody's attention and surprising them by my sudden question.

"...Hai." Hyōdō answered after a few seconds of silence "Ddraig, the dragon inside [Boosted Gear], gave me some training inside my soul... Its kinda like the Inner Worlds in [Bleach]."

"That's interesting..." I muttered, not expecting a concept from [Bleach] to appear here but only open up more possibilities in the long run.

And that's how the final day of training ended.
