RON WASN'T THE ONLY BOY THAT HAD HIS JAW DROPPED. the beauxbatons had entered with grace and beauty, however, one girl in particular, caught not only the eye of the students, but the professors too.
"ms. noir! what a pleasure seeing you once again", dumbledore greeted with a heartfelt laugh.
victoria millicent noir, the daughter of nora noir and an unknown pureblood wizard that had left after his and nora's heartbreaking divorce.
"it indeed has been a while, professor", victoria smoothly replied, glancing over at a particular professor before diverting her attention back to dumbledore.
"ah dumbly-dorr! I see you 'ave already met victoria!", madame olympe maxime clapped.
the woman's strong accent wasn't the only thing that had stood out, as her height was even beyond hagrid's.
"what's so special about her? how does dumbledore know her??", harry whispered to hermione as she always seemed to be the most informed one.
"I don't—"
"isn't it obvious?", ron said, practically drooling over the girl's smile that was clearly put on for show.
"u-umm...no?", harry confusingly answered.
"look at her harry!", ron seriously said, forcefully grabbing harry's chin and turning it towards where victoria was standing with the headmistress of beauxbatons and dumbledore.
"what..uh...what exactly am I looking at?", harry asked, feeling the grip of ron's hand slightly loosen.
"just look at her. the epitome of perfection! her smile, her hair, her eyes, her—"
"like a veela", hermione rudely interrupted, clearly feeling a bit insecure.
but indeed, victoria was quite unlike the others. her bright full cherry lips that curved up into a perfect smile—something she had practiced over the course of her entire life—had drawn many to her. though that smile of hers couldn't compare to her eyes.
victoria's sky grey eyes were stern like steel, yet soft like the clouds that floated effortlessly. her streaks of silvery hair that resembled that of a unicorn mane waved in glory, shimmering under even the dimly lit candles around the dining hall.
with a small button nose and sharp jaw, victoria's pale white skin complemented all her delicate features, making her seem as if she was a porcelain doll.
but if there was one thing that harry had learned, it's to not judge people by how they look, as veelas were a prime example of that.
"everyone! I'd like you all to meet ms. victoria noir!", dumbledore announced, making everyone whisper and gossip, mostly about the girl's blessed genetics and a few about her socially high status in the wizarding world.
"though she currently goes to beauxbatons, starting next year, we will be graced with the presence of ms. noir!"
claps and cheers were heard, overhearing the catcalls and whistling.
victoria simply smiled as she scanned the room, mentally keeping note of the people she knew she was going to come in contact with later on.
that is, until a particular platinum blonde had caught her eye.
pale like the snow, bleak grey eyes that held such confidence and pride, and a grin-like smile that could fool any girl into doing his bidding if he had only asked.
'draco lucius malfoy, only heir of narcissa and lucius. not bad', victoria mentally chuckled to herself, as she proceeded to glance over at the gryffindor table, where the famous harry potter sat.
"now we shall welcome durmstrang institute for magical learning!", dumbledore once again announced.
the great doors opened with a loud click, a bountiful amount of boys had stomped in with their boots that were slightly moist from the melting ice and fur coats that gave them broader shoulders than a polar bear.
victoria had caught the gaze of the great bulagrian seeker, victor krum. her lips rubbed together for a millisecond before her best smiled was showcased once again.
"now that we are all here, let's unite by singing the hogwarts school song together!", dumbledore chuckled, waving his wand as the lyrics had appeared above his head.
meanwhile majority of the hogwarts students sang, victoria lip sang the words, just in case anyone in particular was watching.
she knew that fleur delacour was going to enter her name, and since she herself wasn't of age yet, she needed someone to do her bidding for her.
yet who better to ask for assistance than the one and only, alastor moody.

"victoria millicent noir is it?", pansy asked, walking with the girl towards the slytherin common room, as the beauxbatons ladies and durmstrang gentlemen were all split up amongst the four houses for temporary residence.
"indeed. and you are..."
"pansy parkinson. I've heard a great deal about you from mother and father. it'd be an honor for me to help alleviate the stress of moving schools, that is, if you desire", pansy smirked, clearly excited that there was someone of power other than draco at this school now.
victoria's grin flashed before it had upturned into her usual smile. she recognized those power hungry eyes anywhere and everywhere.
"oh dear! I wouldn't dare turn down such a kind request now would I? in fact, I was hoping you could help me bring these sweets to some of the professors. I'm hoping to make a good first impression", victoria said, holding up a gold bag of cookies.
"that's no problem for me", pansy calmly replied.
the two girls then took a seat by the fireplace of the slytherin common room, as victoria still had quite a few questions.
"say, would you mind giving me a review of all the people here? for example, har—"
"harry potter?", pansy interrupted, making victoria slightly cringe, but nevertheless still smiling.
"yes. him".
pansy merely scoffed and rolled her eyes at the mentioning of his name.
"the boy's a gryffindor, hangs out with that poor red-headed boy and mudblood granger", pansy spat, clearly having distaste for the trio.
"red-headed boy and granger?", victoria questioned. she surely knew of harry potter himself—as he was famous across counties, perhaps even continents—but she didn't particularly notice the others around him in the dining hall.
"ron weasley and hermione granger. brightest witch of her age they say", pansy scowled.
"brightest witch you say? we'll have to test that theory wouldn't we?", victoria slightly smirked, resting her head against her hand that was propped up against the armrest of the couch.
pansy raised a brow, clearly not familiar with the way victoria functioned. be it academics or sports, there will never be a time she does not strive for first.
"say, what class do we have tomorrow?", victoria asked.
though the triwizard tournament was starting, that didn't mean that the three schools were any less strict on learning the necessary materials for the future.
"potions with snape first period along with the gryffindors", pansy snarled. "but at least snape favors us".
"potions with the gryffindors you say...."
victoria mentally grinned as she crossed her legs, feeling a heat of excitement run through her veins as she was about to make an impression.
a very special one at that.
