After some time in the water, they decided to call it a day.

Y/n latched onto Matt's back in the water as he walked to the shore.

Even when he reached to the shallow area, the girl still never let go.

When it occurred to the male she wasn't coming down, he held her thighs to prevent her from slipping off.

Once they reached to where their umbrellas and chairs were, Y/n hopped off and started to dry off.

Whilst she did so, the h/c haired girl realized Matt's staring.

"Why do I always find you staring?"

Matt shrugged, putting a towel around his neck, "You don't happen to wear bathing suits outside of the beach, do ya?" The male smirked.

This earned Matt a shove, making him laugh.

After completely drying off, the four changed into their clothes to head to the carnival after.

"You look cute." Matt said to Y/n as she stepped out the changing booth.

The comment made heat rise to her cheeks.

"Especially when you blush." he added.

"You're an idiot." she mumbled. Matt draped a hand around her shoulder, placing a peck on her temple as they walked towards the parking lot.

Mello and Parker were on the bike whilst Matt leaned against the car nursing a cigarette, talking to the two when Y/n got a call.

She stepped away to answer and held it up to her ear.

"Hello?"

"Anie!"

Y/n giggled upon hearing the cheerful voice, "Hey munchkin, how are ya?"

"I'm good, I just miss you." Mia spoke, she paused before continuing, "I was wondering if I can spend the night with you."

Mia sounded hopeful and of course, Y/n wasn't going to say 'no' to her little sister.

"Pack your things." Y/n said, "I'm a bit far so I'll be there around 4, okay?"

There was rustling then Mia cheered, "Yes! Thank you, Anie!"

"No problem munchkin, I'll see you in a bit."

When the call cut, she approached the trio.

"So...uh, I'm not going to the carnival."

"What?" Parker asked with a sad tone.

"Mia just called so I have to go get her." Y/n explained, "Y'all can go ahead but." she trailed off.

Y/n turned to Matt, "Can you drop me to where Mia is? You could leave after to go to the carnival after."

"Are you kidding?" Matt asked which made Y/n furrow her brows, "Bring her along."

She then turned to Mello.

"Yeah I don't mind." Mello shrugged, "Kinda like the kid."

"Y/n, if you don't bring my Mia along we'll have problems." Parker huffed.

Y/n laughed, "Okay, okay. Jesus."

With that everyone was on their way back from the beach.

Y/n's feet were in Matt's lap as he drove and they talked.

At one point Mello and Matt were racing each other but the girls had to step in to scold them

Why?

Both drivers were going 90 miles per hour. That doesn't seem too much but when it's in a 40 miles per hour zone, it's a lot.

"Would you ever let me drive your camero?"

Matt raised a brow, "Do you have a license?"

Y/n nodded, "Ya, I do."

"Is it valid?"

The female laughed and shook her head as she waved him off, "Now you're asking the right questions."

Matt chuckled, "I'll take that as a 'no'" he paused, "But if you renew your license you can."

"A pretty face doesn't belong behind bars." the male added.

"Hey!" Y/n defended, "If I were to be behind bars, I'd be feared."

Matt snorted as he stopped at a red light, "Sure sweetheart."

The h/c haired girl punched his arm, making his groan.

"See?" She shrugged, "Shut you up, didn't I?"

Approaching aunt Cassie's house, they reached a big automatic gate.

Y/n stuck her head out the window and pressed the button on the intercom beside the gate.

"Ayo? Let me in."

"Who is it?" A male spoke over the speakers.

"My name is Carl Stevens and I'm here to rob this house." Y/n said, "So you mind opening the gates?"

"Hi Y/n." the male spoke with a bored tone.

"Hi Carl." Y/n used the same bored tone as the man over the intercom, "Open the fucking gates, I don't have whole day."

"You're lucky Cassie knows you're coming otherwise I'd leave your bitch ass outside." Carl growled

Y/n laughed, "Can't have what we want in life, yeah?" She hummed, "Say, how's the wife?'

"Fuck you."

Y/n giggled as she shook her head, "You wish. Now open the goddamn gate. Before I climb over it and strangle you."

Carl sighed when the gate started to creak, signalling it was opening, "I fucking hate you."

Y/n smiled, "Feeling's mutual."

The female sat back in the car properly and watched as the gate opened, "Open sesame." she laughed.

Matt chuckled as he drove in the long driveway, "I hope I don't see that man you were talking to otherwise I'd be leaving here with blood on my hands."

Y/n shook her head, "It's okay. People in this house tend not to like me."

When they approached, Y/n hopped out the car and rang the door bell beside the double door.

Aunt Cassie open the door with a unbothered expression

"You haven't been here for 2 minutes and I already have a complaint about you." the woman folded her arms

"Don't bother." Y/n rolled her eyes, "That old hag who opens your gate was being an ass."

Pitter patter of feet were heard behind Cassie before Mia was seen with a grin and a backpack on her back.

Y/n knelt down to hug her sister tightly and Mia gave the girl a kiss on her cheek.

"I missed you munchkin." Y/n mumbled while letting go, "Let's go, yeah?"

Their aunt's eyes travelled to behind the two girls to see a male leaning against the driver's door of a car on the phone.

"Who's that?"

Immediately knowing who her aunt was referring to, she didn't bother looking to where her aunt subtly pointed, "That's Matt."

"I've seen him before, haven't I?"

"The day you lost Mia." Y/n deadpanned.

Cassie rolled her eyes, "Right."

Y/n looked down at Mia to only discover she wasn't there.

Frantically, she turned around to see Matt holding Mia. A sigh of relief escaped her lips as she approached the two.

"Anie, can Matt stay the night too?" Mia asked, giving puppy dog eyes and pouting.

Matt placed his head next to Mia's and pouted too.

Y/n playfully sighed and shook her head, "How can I say 'no'?"

Matt and Mia high fived each other before Matt placed her in the back seat

Matt opened Y/n's door before going to the driver's side.

Mia and Matt talked about a video game that was freshly released.

They had excitement lacing their tones as they talked about the game and how the graphics were.

Mia loves watching people online play video games as well as playing some, hence her wide knowledge.

Matt plays every single game he finds interesting and that's almost all.

Y/n kind of zoned out as they were talking, she looked at the buildings and trees that passed by.

Her head was against the backrest, slightly tilted towards the window for a proper view.

"You think we could play those games?" Mia asked Matt, practically bouncing up and down in excitement as she waited for the male's response.

The brunet slightly chuckled when he saw her state in the rear view mirror, "If your sister says it's okay then we can play it at my place."

"What do ya say sweetheart?" Matt asked the female beside him.

Upon getting silence as a response, he looked over to her staring at the outside.

"Sweetheart?" He called again.

Still nothing. His hand found her thigh and shook it slightly which seemed to snap her out of her daze.

"Hm?"

Matt furrowed his brows, "You okay?"

"Yeah, all good."

"You sure?" He flicked his gaze from the road to the h/c haired girl, "Something on your mind?"

Y/n shook her head and waved him off, "No I was just looking at outside honestly," she laughed.

"What was it you were telling me?" Y/n recalled

Mia spoke up from the back, "Can we go to where Matt lives to play video games sometime?"

Y/n eyes widen a bit, "Um, I don't think that's a good idea."

Matt's head jerked back by her decline, seemingly shocked she did.

"Why not?"

"Please, Anie!" Mia pouted.

Y/n cleared her throat and looked at Matt, "Um, Matt. You have some." She trailed off, "Stuff in your apartment, remember?"

Matt's face filled with confusion, her tone was hinting at something and he knew that. He just could figure out what she was referring to.

Y/n groaned, "Some dangerous plants, Matt."

"Oh!" His mouth formed an 'o' shape as he finally got it, "Oh! That's right."

Then it occurred to Matt that he had more illegal things than cannabis at his apartment.

Matt then nodded, "Yeah, you're right." He said, pulling up to the Carnival's parking lot, "I'll bring it to your place, yeah?"

"What makes the plants so dangerous?" Mia wondered, directing the question at the two, "Does it hurt people?"

"Yes." Matt said hastily, "It does. I've been meaning to get rid of it but...can't."

Before the young girl can question them anymore Matt smiled, "Let's go, yeah?"

He hopped out, opening the passenger and backseat at the same time for the two females.

Tables and game booths were planted around the big area, with walkways of course.

A lot of lights were strung overhead, it was like Christmas lights.

Stalls and booths also had lights neatly strung around.

Some tables sold food and drink, some were jewelry, some were stuffed animals, some were little novelty items.

People walked up and down, some were standing by the booths.

The girl held her younger sister's hand as to not lose her.

"It's so pretty!" Mia awed with wide eyes that glisten.

"Where's Mello and Parker?" Y/n asked the male.

Matt looked around and shrugged, "I actually have no idea." he paused before continuing, "But we'll find them later."

Mia tugged on her older sister's hand she had a grip on, "Can I play that game, Anie?"

"Sure munchkin." The two girls walked the booth with Matt trailing behind.

It was a ring toss booth.

Before Y/n could even move for a second to talk to the woman who manned the booth, Matt spoke

"Let me get two rounds for princess here." he placed a hand on Mia's head as the other hand gave her 5 pounds.

"You realized I could hav-"

Matt placed his pointer finger against her lips, "Shh, sweetheart. It's okay."

Mia jumped ecstatically when the lady handed her the rings.

Y/n watched as the girl flung the rings and actually got most of them which earned her a teddy bear.

"Good going Mia." Y/n laughed, "Where'd you get an aim like that?"

Mia giggled as she clutched the bear, "Video games isn't bad after all."

Y/n looked around to discover Matt was missing, she furrowed her eyebrows as her eyes scanned the area.

Relief panged her chest when she did found him, only to find him with a girl.
