Grant's POV

When I wake up I get dressed write a note then leave it on my side of the bed where she will find it when she wakes up after that I silently make my way out of the house hopefully Kevin will be up this early because I'm going to need his help with something I was going to go look for an engagement ring today I was going to ask Mal to marry me not anytime soon but I knew that I wanted to and I wanted to have the ring with me when it was the right time. I get in my car start it then pull out of our driveway and the whole time I'm thinking of different places and ways I could ask her I wanted her to be mine she was the one for me and I hoped I was that for her because I was worried that there would come a day where she would find some other guy who could possibly be better than me and I didn't want to lose her to anyone else when I get to Kevin's and Vanessa's and I take a deep breath before I get out of the car and walk over to the door and start knocking.

Kevin's POV

It isn't a crying or screaming that wakes me or Blade's barking but someone knocking and all I know is that if they wake up Kevina I will be going to jail for murder number one I get up rub my eyes and run my hands through my hair and walk downstairs then walk over to the door and open it only to see Grant standing there "Is there a reason why you are on my doorstep at eight in the morning?" "I need your help with something." "Is everything okay with Mallory and the baby?" "Yeah she's still home asleep." "Lucky her must be nice." "Look I'm going to ask her to marry me and I need someone to help me pick out the ring so will you come with me?" "Yeah I'll go let me get dressed you might as well come on in."

Grant's POV

Kevin and I make it to the jewelry store and I start looking through the rings trying to find the right one for her Kev points out ones that are princess cut and some with a lot of diamonds "Mal isn't a big fan of diamonds." "Girls love diamonds though." "Mine doesn't I keep walking around the store carefully running my eyes over each and every ring looking for just the right one and when I get to the last case I find it and I know it is the one there are some diamonds on it but the center one is a black diamond I ask if I can see it and when I have it in my hands I know this is the ring for her. Kevin walks up next to me "She would be the type to want black engagement and wedding rings I think she will love that one." "Yeah I think so too." I pay for the ring then take the box and put it in my pocket and we walk out of the store. "Thanks for coming with me and helping." "Anytime so when are you going to ask her?" I shrug my shoulders "I want to ask when it is the right time but I wanted to make sure I already had the ring." "You're sure about this though?" "Yeah I'm sure."

Vanessa's POV

I look up from changing Kevina when Kevin walks in the house "Where have you been all morning?" He walks over and sits in a chair "I had to go with Grant." "Where did you go?" "I helped him pick out an engagement ring." I look at him "Are you serious?" "He said he wanted to have the ring for when he asked her but he wasn't sure when he was going to." "He's going to ask Mallory to marry him?" "Yeah wait until you see the ring it's a lot different but it is definitely something she would wear that's for sure." I let out a squeal and a smile appears on Kevina's face at the noise I made Kevin looks down at her "Is Mommy a crazy lady?" "I'm not crazy I'm happy my best friend is getting engaged." "Ness he hasn't even asked her yet all he did was buy the ring." "Not important Kev but they are going to get married."

Mallory's POV

I wake up hearing things open and shut then I feel Grant walk over and get in the bed I yawn and curl up next to him "Morning warbler." "Hey babe it's about time you get up." "What time is it?" "Almost nine." "How long have you been up?" "A few hours I didn't want to wake you up though you looked peaceful and you need to rest." I sit up and stretch then let out a moan "That sound drives me crazy babe." "I bet it does warbler now let's eat." "Come on babe let's stay in bed I'm sure we can have lots of fun here." "How about breakfast then fun?" "Okay babe you have a deal let's eat."
